I lay awake on a freezing night; As cold as an arctic snowstorm, and as dark as a planet with no sun. My eyes were open as wide as a deer's in front of a moving vehicle. There was one thought in my mind, one thought only, the love of my life. Her long silky hair, her smooth, tanned skin, her pristine beauty and her effervescent, godlike personality were all I ever desired; she was as sweet as a honeycomb and as unique as a sparkling snowflake in a vast blizzard. Absolutely immaculate, absolutely flawless was our relationship; or so I thought. There was only one problem, one only; it seemed as though no matter how hard I endeavoured to fulfil her desires, I just couldn't. For I had endured thousands of long
“For a moment the last sunshine fell with romantic affection on her glowing face; her voice compelled me forward breathlessly as I listened - then the glow faded, each light deserting her with lingering regret, like children leaving a pleasant street at dusk.”
There was a wall around my heart that I was afraid to tear down. I’d built it up to assure myself that I’d never get hurt. But since Dylan entered my life, I wouldn’t want it any other way. There’s nobody else on this earth that I’d rather have. I’m so glad he’s the one I allowed to really get to know me, from the bottom of my heart. If it weren’t for Dylan, I probably wouldn’t know what happiness truly is; and for that, I’m eternally
In This Lullaby by Sarah Dessen, Remy Starr is a cynical high school graduate eager to embark on her future and leave behind her past, not looking for love at all. She has seen her mother go through four previous marriages and is headed on to the fifth. She never knew her father and the only thing he left behind for her was an old song. The cynic in her is challenged when she meets Dexter, a boy who forces her to change her perspectives on love and life itself. With the family example she has had when it comes to love, the role of social networks is key in the progression of Remy’s past relationships and Remy and Dexter’s current relationship.
When I'm around you and your smile, I tend to get the butterflies, you make me so happy, you've healed my broken heart and sealed the cracks with your love, everytime you smile, kiss me, hold me, tell me you love me and hold my hand, I am reminded of how lucky I am and how amazing you truly are I guess you can say that i'm giving you my heart to hold and all the love I could possibly give
In her mind’s eye, she now pictured him handsome with strong eyes that would one sunrise, take her away from the life she was destined to live. She knew she should go for help and then run to school to finish her final test to win the right to alter what she would some sunrise become. However, deep down, she could not make herself leave his side. This was her first opportunity to have a real friend, and she would not give this up for any prize on the Gods’

He could tell by the way she took a deep breath and the light in her eyes she had felt it too. He watched the way her hips swayed as she walked and the way her thigh high boots hugged her long tanned thighs. He began imagining those thighs wrapped around his waist, he wanted to feel her ample breasts crushed beneath his chest. He gave himself a mental shake. The last thing he wanted was another woman like Roxanne, curves in all the right places and that innocent look in her eyes. They had an amazing sex life, but Roxanne had suddenly had a change of heart and moved on. He did not know what had happened, he thought they were happy together. They gave each other what they needed, a lot of freedom and sex. He did not know why it upset him that she had left, but it did ... He missed her. It was not in him to miss anyone. He was always the one to do the leaving, he had not been dumped since he was twelve. Women gravitated towards him, he knew he would not be lonely for long. There was always someone else wanting to pick up where the others had left

The irony is that the reason the man wrote this “love” song and has this conflict, is because he most likely did or will act in a way that would make her consider leaving him. – He is his own worst enemy that would cause his stars to leave the sky.
Dalton Rae “punk, cowgirl, princess.” Let me tell you about this girl named Dalton Rae. Her eyes shine with a golden brown shimmer. Her hair flows like the waves of an ocean. That’s the worst thing about becoming close to you, the second you don’t talk to me or don’t pay attention to me, I feel lost. I’ve become possessive over you, you’ve become my happiness… you see, you can't allow one person to become you’re happiness because when they aren’t there for you anymore, you won't be able to be happy.

Though only four letters long, the term “love” encapsulates such meaning and power, though it can be interpreted widely. Specifically romantic love holds many preconceived ideas about what it is, who it attracts, and how it attracts. Illustrations of this romantic type love are evident to us throughout our lives as images of love surround us through various media outlets such as, music, movies, and television; all demonstrating how to find, keep, hold onto, or let go of love. These outlets often portray love to be an instant “spark” of attraction, where a person or character feels a romantic attraction instantaneously for a complete stranger. American singer and songwriter, Taylor Swift, captures the hearts of her listeners through her relationship focused lyrics. Swift’s albums take listeners on an emotional roller coaster of love, and portrays her emotions and ideas about young love through her lyrics in a diary type format. Through various songs, Swift portrays falling in and out of love, and the many emotions that love creates. According to Holmes & Johnson (2009, p. 119), “it is the presentation of the ‘ideal’ as ‘typical’ that makes media influential and potentially harmful”.
