Two killed during historical re-enactment
Two people were killed and five others injured when a period firearm exploded during a historical re-enactment in Potenza, Italy.
The incident took place in the medieval suburb of Dragonara, where the theatrical re-enactment was taking place as part of the annual end of summer festivities in the town.
The re-enactment intended to tell the story of a local highwayman who operated in the area in 1864 but disaster struck when one of the period firearm exploded during the show.
Shrapnel from the explosion killed two male actors aged 55 and 56 while a third actor had to have his forearm amputated after it was hit by splinters from the exploding weapon.
The explosion also caused injury to spectators

Mountain Meadows Massacre was emigrants coming from Arkansas to California.The emigrant were passing through Southern Utah in September 11, 1857.There are a total 120 emigrant they were killed by a group of Mormons with the help of local Paiute Indian. The people who survive were 17 children. A year later the 17 children were adopted by local families. The 17 children were 2 month to 2 or 3 years old. The mormon were kind enough to let the young ones lived. The mormon knew they wouldn’t remember when the mountain meadows massacre happen.

On September 6, 1901 during a reception in the Temple of music, during the Pan-American Expo in Buffalo New York, a violent shooting accused. The guest of the reception were scrambling in hopes to escape the gun fire. Through all of the screaming and chaos, only one man was hit in this shooting. This man was hit twice, one grazed his ribs and the other hit right in his mid stomach, but before he was able to get a third round off, the gunned man was wrestled to the ground by security. Quickly after the man was shot, he was rushed to a local hospital. The doctors examined the wonders and found that there was no exit whole for the bullet that struck the man in the stomach. The Mountain meadows massacre was a series of attacks on the Baker-Fancher emigrant wagon train, at Mountain meadows in southern utah. The attacks began on september 7 and culminated on September 11, 1857, resulting in the mass slaughter of the emigrant party by members of the Utah Territorial Militia from the Iron County district, together with some paiute native americans. The militia, officially called the Nauvoo, was composed of southern Utah's mormon settlers (members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints). Intending to leave no witnesses and thus prevent reprisals, the perpetrators killed all the adults and older children-about 120 men, women, and children in total. Seventeen children, all younger than seven were spared.

Although some teachers are biased in a way that hurts some students, public schools in Oklahoma should re-enact the Land Run because it can help students understand history and teach us a live lesson about how we treated Native Americans. First of all, we should reenact the the land run because it can be “a fun and rewarding opportunity”(Beason,Jimmy). Doing a reenactment can be a great way for children to learn about history in a fun way. Some people disagree because it can be racist to some students and think of it as celebrating genocide.
