Have you ever pondered about the reasoning for your name or the history behind it? Through these mediums, I found that Westbrook is derived from Westbrooke, Wesbrook, Westbroc, and Westbrock (Hanks and Hodges) (Surname Database) (Names.Org). Everyone always misspells my last name with an “e” on the end of it, so I was expecting that outcome; however, I was surprised to see the other forms of my surname. I then found that Westbrook was the most popular surname in the United States in 2010 and it is most popular in the state of Texas (Ancestry). To conclude my research on my last name, I explored famous people that share the same surname as me. I discovered Russel Westbrook, a NBA basketball player for Oklahoma City Thunder and UCLA, and Brian Westbrook, a NFL football player for the Eagles and 49ers
