The History of, and Impact of, Photography on our World
Photography is a process frequently used in areas of media, art, and science as well as practical everyday use. It is used to inform society of different issues, used to document a wide range of things and is used to capture everyday memories for the years to come. It is used everywhere in today's society and through technology has advanced tremendously since its beginnings.
The earliest cameras were simple devices that did not capture an image but merely projected an image onto a surface. It was basically a large pinhole camera in the form of a darkened room or booth. These were used by artists as early as the 16th century. These were known as Camera Obscuras. They then

It has even branched out into the digital realm allowing endless possibilities to the world of photography.
Photography revolutionized the world in ways we can't even imagine. Imagery is such an important part of our everyday lives and photography has created a convenient way to convey an image. Before photography came about the only way of having a permanent image of a person was to have a portrait painted. The only way of creating an image to show the scenery and landscape of a certain era was to have it painted or drawn. Nowadays we can take a snapshot and years later people can see the world as it was today. Photo's have changed the world of journalism, creating a way for people to actually see what is going on, rather then just hearing about it.
Today we use photography frequently in our everyday lives and we are constantly surrounded by images that would not have been possible without photography. It's considered a hobby for some, a business for others. Photography is a huge money making industry, from people taking pictures to sell to magazines to portrait photographers taking happy snaps of families at their best. Photography is used as a form of identification, showing us exactly how we are and proving we are who we say. It is used to sell products and advertise almost anything you can think of. It's also used as a journalistic tool, to send a message to the world and inform others. It can
Photography is a word derived from the Greek words photos light and to draw. A scientist called Sir John F.W. Herschel, which was in 1839, first used the word. It was a method which was all about recording images by using light or radiation on a sensitive material. The first known camera was created by Alhazen also known as who lived around 100AD he invented the first pinhole camera this camera was used to capture the movement of the sun. Photography was explained to be the science and art of documenting photographs by capturing light on a light sensitive material which included film or an electronic sensor. Light could be reflected from objects which could expose a chemical or electronic material during a timed exposure which is typically used through a camera which can store the information chemically or electronically. The first photograph was take in 1827 taken by Joseph Nicephore Niepce who made the first photograph
The purpose of my study is to give people a chance to understand what is the meaning of photography and how it was invented, plus how people was able to take photographs before the camera was invented.
Sense the invention of the camera in 1826 photography has been used to document everything from family portraits, social injustice, sporting events, world news, expressions of joy and sorrow, and hundreds of monumental moments. The camera has given man the power to reveal the truth visually. Throughout history photographs have made enormous impacts on social consciousness and ultimately shaped public opinion on many pressing issues in society. Although photography is often considered a casual pastime, the invention of the camera has contributed to many aspects of history, science, and other important pieces of todays world.
As mankind rapidly evolved recording events became harder. Early history is only able to be pictured with using our imagination. Often times historians often clash about what the world looked like. Ancient civilizations from the Mayans and Aztecs have never been seen while they were in their pristine condition. The world is left with written descriptions and ruins not only of the cities themselves, but also the tools used. After the camera was invented in the early 1800s, events were more frequently recorded and it was clear what tools and cities looked like before modern-day. Photography has undoubtedly altered how we document events, created new job openings, and will give generations to come amazing art and show defining moments from each generation. Photography has helped evolve the world by creating new jobs and revolutionizing how events are documented.
Photographs have been circling the world for years now . There are many different types of cameras, but only some have changed and revolutionized the world. The history behind them and the history it has captured throughout the years has impacted the world in numerous ways. It is very important to know how certain things like lighting and angle affect the outcome of photographs. To be able to capture a perfect photograph one will have to understand how lighting , angle , third rule affect a photograph. Not only are there different types of ways to take photographs but different types of photography.
Through the development of multiple inventions such as the digital camera and the smartphone camera, photography has been able to become more available to general public. No longer does one have to be extremely wealthy to have a picture taken. The majority of people now carry a smartphone

I have always been a lover of photography. Photos reveal a sense of emotion whether that is happiness, sadness, or anger. It can capture such a powerful moment in time. It shows a person who they are, their past, present, and most importantly how they have grown. With the technology that is readily available, and as many pictures that are captured on a daily basis, a story can unfold.
The camera was made to capture an event, moment, or person in time and share it with others in the future. Photos hold memories and if altered lose the truth of the moment when viewed by the future. Photographs are a main source of information and credibility and need to be completely honest and less biased than traditional news stories. Technology today allows altered photographs to be passed off as truth. This causes consumers to lose trust in public sources and spreads misinformation to the public.
Firstly, it captures the beauty of arts, people, and nature. In fact, it captures the soul of every living creature that escapes the people’s naked eye, permeating the core of their hearts. It enlivens prosaic sceneries and environs. That being said, photography makes people see the beauty and magnificence of God’s creation. This world is such a beautiful dwelling, and it just takes lenses to show it to the people who have the deepest appreciation of arts and beauty of nature, and even to those who have not grasped yet how stunning
The word photography derives from two Greek words, photo and graph. Photo meaning “light” and graph meaning “drawing”. The phrase to describe photography is to say “drawing with light”. Forms of radiant energy like x-rays, or light is used to document a thing or landscape on a light-sensitive surface when a photograph is made. Photographs in the early days were called sun picture because direct sunlight was used to create an image in the pictures. We, mankind, are the creators of photography since caveman paintings about 20,000 years ago. With this phenomenal invention, we can record anything with exact detail within half a second as opposed to a talented artist who would take hours or days to construct.
Photography serves many purposes and since its invention people have used it for many different reasons, but mostly for
Until recently, at least, it was possible to define photography as a process involving optics, light sensitive material and the chemical processing of this material to produce prints or slides. Today though, that definition is subject to change. Technological innovations…are shifting photography from its original chemical basis towards electronics… It is not overstating it to say that the advent of this new technology is changing the very nature of photography, as we have known it. (Bode and Wombell 1991)
Since its inception, photography has been used to capture moments in time all around the world. This wonderful technology has existed since ancient times, and has only improved in recent history, changing society in the process.
It is likely that many artists will have used a camera obscura to aid them in drawing, but because of the stories of the occult, or because they felt it was "cheating" in some way not many people would admit to using one. In 1764, the lens was being developed. The name lens comes from
