This is the fourth picture in the sequence. This picture is of two Jewish people during Hitler’s reign. Both students were able to place this picture correctly in the sequence and they both thought this was from the 1930’s. They both were able to recognize that the man and woman were Jews and had been marked as such because of Hitler. Both students, because they are currently studying WWII, were able to express what happened to the Jewish people and even what happened to Hitler as the war ended. Joe said this was the most interesting picture out of all of them because they were currently studying about Hitler and WWII. I ended asking Joe how he thought his life would be different if he had been alive during this time. HIs answer was grim. …show more content…
The first main question was about who runs our country and how. Both of the students were able to tell me that our country was not ruled by a King. Jane pointed out that there was a Queen and King in another country who just had a baby girl. She, however, could not remember the country. Both students were able to tell me that Obama was the president. I asked them how they knew and both replied that their parents talk about him all the time. Joe even expressed that his parents usually spoke about Obama negatively but he did not understand what his parents were talking about whenever they talked about the president. They both knew a lot about the this main question, they knew Obama had to be elected and Jane knew that the mayor was another person who was also elected. Joe also knew other people were elected to do certain jobs but he was unable to tell me who. I did find it interesting that when I asked about the judges, both students expressed that judges put away bad people. I found that interesting because they knew one thing a judge could do, but they did not know anymore than …show more content…
Both students come from different backgrounds, and these backgrounds shape their knowledge about all the subjects in school. Jane and her father’s interest in the history channel allows Jane to have more in depth knowledge over certain things in Social Studies. However, with Joe, his social studies knowledge was more limited to what he had and was learning in school. HIs opinions though, were shaped by his parents, whereas Jane did not seem to have much of a opinion on certain topics and was more matter-of-fact about her answers. As a teacher, it is important to realize that some of my students know more than the others because of their parents and communities. Some of my students will have limited knowledge base on what I teach them and I would love to figure out a way to ensure my students can learn more than just what the history books tell them. Perhaps give them extra credit projects about certain people or certain topic in social studies. Even just having more social studies literature available in my class could help them gain more insight than just what I teach them. This experience was very eye-opening and
Adolf Hitler was one of the most influential people in the interwar era. His actions during the interwar era caused World War II, which had enormous impacts on almost every country in the world. There are three reasons why he gained so much influence in Germany. First of all people were disappointed in the current German government and wanted a change. Secondly, Hitler and his Nazi party were similar in ideology to the majority of people and finally he was a great orator who used his similarity to the rest of the German people to help his party grow and to help himself become dictator.

This video is about a 5th-grade social studies teacher named Miss Kelsey’s personal experience with the method of inquiry and her reason on why the inquiry method was a great way to help her students learn Canadian history. In the video, Miss Kelsey demonstrates the positive effects of historical inquiry in her 5th-grade class by describing how it not only sparked the interests of her students, but also herself and not only that but both her and her students learned something. Not mention the fact that Miss Kelsey had also helped spark the interests of her students even more by creating a scenario where they had to present the information that each of her students found in their assigned important figures to her where she will decide which

Hitler became Chancellor of Germany in 1933, and within eight years, a program was started that lead to the murder of over six million Jews. This program, known as the Holocaust, can be partially attributed to Hitler, and his thoughts and actions. This debate is an important one in discovering the nature of the Nazi government, and the influence that people and circumstances have on the government. It allows us to know how much of the Holocaust was planned by one person, and how much the rest of the government was at fault. The knowledge of the origins of the Holocaust will help us prevent another Holocaust from happening.
If a leader must choose to be feared or loved what should they choose? On one hand being feared gives that leader control over society because the people fear punishment from the leader. Feared leaders usually have a strong military force and presence. On the other hand if a leader is loved they will have control over the people because society agrees because they listen to the society's ideas. A loved leader will be forgiven by the people when they make mistakes they will also have more trust from the people. Being loved as a leader is much better than being feared.
To assess the popularity of the Nazis one must first establish the meaning of popularity and in what ways it can be assessed. Popularity in this instance is support and conformity to the Nazi regime. This essay will span from Hitler and the party’s early days in the Burgerbraukeller in Munich up to the death of the regime in 1945. The evidence used will span from Hitler’s own words in ‘Mein Kampf’ to the masses of propaganda left behind upon the regimes collapse. The biggest historiographical debate in my opinion on this subject is ‘resistenz’ argued by Martin Broszat and ‘Loyal reluctance’ argued mainly by Robert Gellately and Ian Kershaw. During this essay both sides will be evaluated with the idea of popularity at the forefront and how each argument adds or detracts from my argument that the Nazis were mainly a popular regime.
Guida Diehl was the founder and leader of the Newland Movement, which pre-dated the Nazi Party by at least six years. She came from a nationalist and anti-Semitic family, and only joined the Nazi Party in August 1930. Following the advice of Adolf Stocker, who hated Jews and supported the emancipation of unmarried women, she attended social-work school and later worked as a teacher of social work in Frankfurt. Diehl constantly preached a spiritualist, quasi-Christian, and nationalist message, that went against the postwar values of Americanism, materialism, and mammonism, which threatened to overpower Volk, God, and fatherland.
I think that it was the same as a war before, just with better tech and more populations. Because I believe that all war has to be sometimes started, it could be a grudge that causes world war three. Or it could be a simple mistake; all war is inevitable. I think that the one thing separates world war one from other wars is the death counts; there were far too many deaths then there should have been.
Then to follow up, ask them to describe either verbally or in writing what their family’s perspective is on the same subject. Additionally, when introducing a new topic, include multiple perspectives so students can come to their own conclusions. Another key point is to have students pair up with different students to discuss their opinions and hear other ideas from their own peers.

On April 20, 1889, a demon was brought into this world. His name was Adolf Hitler. He was born in the family quarters of the Pommer Inn in Braunau, a small city on the Austrian border. The child was unhealthy and his mother, Klara, worried that young Adolf would not survive. Klara provided much love and attention to her baby, which Adolf would later take advantage of to get what he wanted (Smith 50). Despite his self-centeredness, Adolf held a deep bond with his mother which united them throughout his childhood. On the other hand, Alois, Adolf’s father, failed to play an important role in Adolf’s development. Alois spent the majority of his time away from the customs station with his friends
Stakeholders-investors, customers, interest groups, employees, the legal system, and the community often determine whether a specific behavior is right or wrong, ethical or unethical. Judgments of these groups influence society’s acceptance or rejection of a business and it’s activities.
Even though Germany was left in a period of struggle and economic weakness after WW1, Adolf Hitler would take a stand by creating a party that would help refine the structure of the economy. This party, when abbreviated, was called Nazi, would also create harsh laws and unrelentless punishment. Due to the Nazi party’s quick growth, there was an immediate impact on lifestyle and politics for the people of Germany. The long term impact brought forth by the consequences or legacy of the Nazi party included a population decrease and an increase in deaths. To make both of these impacts, Hitler had to overcome many hard challenges.
Casualties implicate inebriated drivers decreased with ease during the 80s and 90s, Fell and Voas state that at the time, organizations alike Mother Against Drunk Driving or MADD was convey significantly a lot of consideration to the cause.
