Hockey Is A Fast Pace Sport

Hockey is a very fast pace sport. It is an exciting sport that is played by two teams on an ice rink. Each team has a goalie, two defensemen, two wingers and a center player on the ice at all times, excluding penalties and a few other rare circumstances (USA Hockey). The game is played, by each player moving a heavy rubber disk called a puck along the court. The puck is shot into the net to score points and the most points at the end of the game wins. This game is played at a fast pace because hockey has an unusual rule. It is the only major sport that allows players to substitute or change during active playing time (USA Hockey). Hockey players’ often fight even though it is against the rules of hockey. Hockey is one of the greatest sports on this earth. Although some may think that hockey has not been around for a very long time, I have come to realize through this research project that hockey has been around for around 4000 years. Through this paper will tell of the development and history of hockey from the early years to present day (USA Hockey).
First let me tell you a little about the game of ice hockey. Ice hockey is played on a hockey rink with a sheet of ice usually 200 feet (61 M) long and 85 feet (26 M) wide (Duplacey).
