If you think back to when you were in school, the homework you have been given has helped you in some ways. Your teachers most likely gave you the homework for a real purpose besides to be mean. Homework includes many benefits after doing it. Some people think that homework is extremely important and necessary. While most students and some adult think that homework is completely unnecessary and a waste of time. In my opinion, teachers should continue to give students homework if they do not already because homework is very beneficial after completing it thoughtfully. I also completely disagree with people that think homework is completely unnecessary and that it is a waste of time. I believe that homework is the exact opposite. There are many benefits of doing homework. Homework can also help practice, review, reinforce, and extend the material learned in class. It can also enhance student education. Homework can also teach students life skills that will be helpful later on in life. The United States Department of Education wrote, "Homework can have many benefits for... children.… Homework can help students develop study skills that will be of value even after they leave school." Homework will only be helpful after doing it.
