With scandal an illegal activity running rampant across American and abroad, it is important to ascertain the causes of the problem. Incidents such as the LIBOR scandal or the Colorado mass shooting all contribute to the growing problem of crime with America. Puerto Rico in particular is experiencing slight increase in heavy offenses. Through this document, an illuminating light will be used to address the issues causing this increase, why are they occurring, and practical solutions to the problem. Statement of the problem Puerto Rico, in recent years has experience an influx of criminal activity. This activity increase, albeit very small in regards to the overall population, is cause for concern. The degree and propensity of strong offenses such as murder and homicide are increasing in Puerto Rico.
