Homosexuality is relating to or characterized by a tendency of a direct sexual desire toward another of the same sex. By this homosexuality is referred to as members of the same sex being sexually attracted to one another. The topic of homosexuality in religion and society has many sides. There are those who believe that it is a sin in God’s eyes according to the Bible, and there are those who believe that God and the Bible are not specific to homosexuals. It is a tough debate based on whether you are a religious person, how you were raised, and where your morals and ethics stand. Over the last 2,000 years of Christianity many changes have taken place in how it views people and their place in the kingdom of God. The Church has changed its views of people of other races as inferior, or attacks, in need of salvation. Most modern Christians today have a harsher view of homosexuals than most. Some see homosexuals as being in direct league with Satan, as they also believed about "witches". Being homosexual is seen as a direct threat to society and many families. Just as abortion, homosexuality is viewed as an outrage and nothing more than a fear to the Christian beliefs. The Christian church teaches that homosexuality is not God’s design for people however they believe that these are phases and one may change this phase.
