In all honesty, I wasn't very surprised by my results. In the past I've taken similar tests and have come upon similar results and additionally have seen these qualities through introspective assessment. While there was several categories in the results, I have decided to simply explore three of my highest scores. The highest resulting score for me was under the Interpersonal category, coming in at 63%. In terms of real world application, it is highly beneficial skill to have in any work environment. The website Edutopia.org defines this type of intelligence as having an perception of social interactions and an understanding of the people around you and their intentions, viewpoints, emotions and their frame of mind. In any sort of work setting,
When I first took the test to see what I scored, I was surprised with many of my results.
The last category scored a little lower. In the enterprising category, I scored a 58.333. The individuals who relate to enterprising are “the persuaders”. People within this category like to lead. They enjoy activities that are competitive and require selling and promoting. Additionally, these individuals are self-confident and talkative both of these characteristics reflect my personality. There are definitely some consistencies within these three categories.
“In a fast-paced stream of events through alleys and with a police car, all underscored by the Black Eyed Peas song, ‘Where is the Love,’ we watch the drama unfold and wonder if the young man is stealing or returning the purse, until the last triumphant moment.” (Values.com). Honesty. What does this mean to you? In 2012 the organization “Values” aired a commercial named “Honesty, Pass It On.” Although this commercial is slightly aged, the message couldn’t be more powerful. The Values commercial I chose to analyze shows that honesty is the most important value that we possess because it allows people to trust us. I believe that being honest allows people to grow and advance further into the best life possible.
Stephen L. Carter links integrity and honesty. There are three constraints discussed in this essay. First, integrity does require a degree of moral reflectiveness. Second, Integrity may cause conflict that is must be resolved. It does not necessarily produce or protect interpersonal harmony. Third, a person who has integrity can be trusted. It does not avoid the restructuring of social structures and associations, because it leaves the matter to exercise of interpersonal authority.
Honesty is represented throughout the Pigman through Lorraine. Lorraine is honest, by telling Mr.Pignati about who her real identity is. Lorraine and John were honest to the Pigman by choosing to tell him who their real identity is. “‘You see, Mr Pignati, we’re not charity workers.” He just stared at us.
My highest score was 80 which was for Bodily - Kinesthetic which means that I think of self-expression or the precision to achieve a goal. I actually do agree with the statement because I am a person who always has a goal to be perfect and get to the top. Now I do agree with the statements that the Multiple Intelligence Survey did give me my correct answers. As I said about the Bodily - Kinesthetic was about how to always be correct or perfect, but what it said my lowest skills was naturalistic, musical, and logical. This statement is true. None of these things are skills that have ever come naturally to me. My lowest result in this survey was naturalistic, musical, intrapersonal, and logical. My highest score was 80 which was for Bodily -
My other highest score is interpersonal awareness. This means that I very much enjoy social interaction. This makes perfect sense to me.
Healthcare professionals are faced with making multi-faceted decisions on a daily basis. These decisions are not just limited to clinical matters, but they include the total patient care experience. Because of emerging healthcare trends and complex health law and ethics, it is imperative that healthcare administrators have a professional organization that they can belong to. “The
Integrity and honesty are often thought to coincide: many people believe that is true. Author Stephen L. Carter wrote “The Insufficiency of Honesty”, which was published in the Atlantic Monthly in 1996. He argues that a person can have honesty without ever reflecting back on whether or not what they believe is necessarily true, which is not exactly integrity. Carter builds his credibility in his writing by stating that he was giving a university commencement address, citing statistics and using prominent sources. He also gives well thought out examples to help strengthen his argument that one can be honest without having integrity.
After taking the Big Five personality test, also known as the OCEAN model of personality, I found the results slightly surprising to me. The first measure they addressed was openness to experience/intellect, and I scored fairly low at the 20th percentile, meaning I prefer more traditional experiences and familiar experiences. The second one, which was conscientiousness, I scored higher on in the 74th percentile, meaning that I am well organized, self-disciplined, and reliable. The third measure of personality is extraversion, and I scored in the 96th percentile which extremely high. This suggests that I am extremely outgoing, social, and
For the trait questionnaire, I was very surprised at the findings. One trait that surprised me the most was the determination trait. I personally believe that I am a determined individual because if I have an idea, I stand by it 100%. My colleagues and my family however, thought differently and rated me neutrally for the most part. Other than that trait, I can see why the people I asked to rate me did so that way. For the skills questionnaire, I was surprised that I have more technical skills than human skills. The reason why I was surprised is because on a day to day basis, I interact with different
Let's be clear, a Pr professional is, most definitely, qualified to moderate a focus group discussion; however, in all honesty, I would advise against the notion. My reasons are centered around the issue of objectivity. Part of a Pr practitioner's unwritten job description is to be the defender of the brand or organization so I cannot trust this individual to resist the temptation if placed in a focus group setting. Meaning, it would be difficult to resist the urge to influence the participants opinions during the discussion or, at least, try to deflect negative feedback. I would imagine that the atmosphere in the room would become pretty tight if participants were not favorable towards a company or expressed any kind of dissatisfaction.
is could be that Jen is an honest person in the world, she never lies,
Imagine this: You are at a McDonald’s drive through. You have ordered only one cheese burger, but when you drive up to the collection window, the young trainee hands you a big bag filled with food and a handful of change. There are two options, do you, A; tell the young trainee that you only ordered a cheese burger, (which cost you only $1.90) and give back to him the big bag of food and handful of change? Or do you, B; say thank you to the young trainee and drive off happily with the huge bag of food and all the change, feeling lucky that the trainee made a mistake with your order.
Overall, I believe that the test was fairly accurate in measuring certain factors of my personality so much so that it was difficult for me to find certain factors that I did not agree with. However there were two factors, E (dominance) and Q1 (rebelliousness), which I believe were a bit overrated in myself. Aside from these the test seemed to adequately define facets of my personality. For “warmth” (factor A) my sten score read 4, indicating that I am slightly more reserved and critical that easygoing and good-natured. I scored a 7 in “ego strength” (factor C), classifying me as more stable and emotionally mature and less emotional and changeable in attitudes. In dominance (factor E) my sten score read 8, meaning I am more assertive, competitive and stubborn rather than submissive, dependent and humble. I received an average score of 5 in “impulsivity” (factor F) indicating a slightly more serious and sober approach to the world over the cheerful and enthusiastic view. As for “boldness” (factor H), I received a sten score of 4 signifying a more shy and restrained approach to things as opposed to an adventurous genial one. I received a median score of 5 for “emotional sensitivity” (factor I) demonstrating my slightly more tough-minded and self-reliant view in contrast to a sensitive insecure one. For “imagination” (factor M) a score of 8, indicating that I am more imaginative, unconventional and absorbed in ideas and am less so for practicality and the prosaic.
