Using my leadership qualities to encourage others and uplift their abilities to their fullest potential will create a successful year for National Honor Society. Taking a leadership role in my freshman and sophomore year as a treasurer in Student Council has benefited my outlook of what it means to be a leader. As a treasurer, it’s my duty to have a clear vision of what is desired to be completed to benefit the whole class of 2019. I got out of my comfort zone and made a positive difference. I have continued to take up my leadership roles by running for officer positions and taking initiative by becoming chairpersons for multiple committees in student council. I built up confidence that leads to embracing change to council to benefit everyone’s participation and working
The National Honors Society is a remarkable and sensational opportunity for myself to take. I know that I should be in the Honors Society to better my future in education. When I think of my character, leadership, and service in the community I know it can be improved upon, but I do see the value I have developed in those traits over my lifetime. I believe that the Nation Honors Society should take me in and display its various favorable opportunities towards myself because of my growing, thriving traits.
The National Honors Junior Society is one of the nation's prime organizations established to acknowledge outstanding middle school students. In order to be eligible to be a part of this society, students must exhibit certain achievements in different areas. Students must demonstrate excellence in areas of scholarship, service, leadership, character, and citizenship. The purpose of this prestigious organization is to provide a strong foundation for building leadership skills through service to the school and the surrounding community. I should be a part of this society because I believe I posses great leadership, scholarship, character, citizenship, and service qualities.
I believe that my involvement in the National Junior Honors Society could change my future significantly. It is an outstanding opportunity to develop many skills that can be used in high school, college, and my future career. It will improve my leadership abilities, oral skills, and will give me the chance to work with many other people. I understand how prestigious this program is and I am prepared to be a member of this very beneficial organization.
Recognition with the invitation to National Honors Society is an incredible opportunity to come across in the four years of high school. It would be an honor to become a member of National Honors Society to attain leadership qualities throughout my high school career. When I moved to Peachtree City in the 9th grade, I have stacked leadership skills and activities to help others in need that qualify to become a candidate for National Honors Society through campus involvement and community involvement. Interactions with the Mcintosh faculty and students give a chance to build leadership skills by creating friendship. Throughout my high school career, I have joined club organizations such as spanish club, where I worked together among my peers
As the leader of the criminal justice honor society at ASU, I have created partnerships with volunteer organizations such as the 100 Club of AZ, and have continued partnerships with Free Arts of Arizona, the Rearley Foundation, and Release the Fear. As the leader of the school organization, I have been able to engage in volunteer actives that have raised awareness about abused children and families in need. I have also implemented a provisional membership program within our organization to promote academic successes with freshman through mentorships, counseling, and tutoring. I have contributed an average of 20 hours per week to the honor society. I have also created a mentorship program with the Mesa Police Department that allows students to engage with the department to prepare them for career opportunities. I have set up events at ASU with the ASU Police Department, Maricopa County Attorney’s Office and Maricopa County Office of Public Defender to bring more resources to students. I have a high belief in doing the very best you can. I have seen many students who think they are unable to be as successful as other and I have attempted to mentor those students to help them understand their full potential. I personally never thought I would ever attend a university or pass classes with a high GPA. However, I have learned that we are only limited by ourselves, and all of us are capable of
This past year, I have been motivated to keep up my grades and work hard because of Adams' National Junior Honor Society program. I have aspired to be in the Society since I read it over the summer on the Adams website. I was so excited when I received this letter because it meant I had a chance at making the program. I want to be in NJHS because it will teach me how to manage my time, organize events, and work with others. Working with others who also value academic success contributes to my will to be in the program. Together, we can help each other grow and thrive in the community. We can also collaborate to help those in our community who aren’t in the position to speak out for themselves. I read about an NJHS group that organized an event where they donated toys to children who are less fortunate. They spoke out in school and changed the lives of many young, unhappy children through the program.
The National Honor Society is a group whose members are known for their academic accomplishments, leadership, and integrity. This group is greatly prestigious and I am honored to be invited to apply. This group also contributes a great deal towards the community, which is something that I am interested in doing more of. Until now, I have not gone out of my way to do much service and being in this group, I would have a higher motivation to do so. I would like to experience more giving to the community because whenever I have helped others, I felt satisfactory and valuable afterward. This society would be an excellent opportunity to be a bigger part of the community.
“We all have dreams. But in order to make dreams come into reality, it takes an awful lot of determination, dedication, self-discipline, and effort.” When Jesse Owens said this, he probably was thinking about success in sports, but this quote can be taken in so many more ways. I view it in the way where it inspires others to have the willpower to achieve life's’ goals. To have full devotion to the task at hand is a major quality of an honors student. I have reached the point in my life where I am able to dedicate my time to something as important as National Honors Society. The honor of being considered for NHS is not something I should take so lightly. There are still the four aspects of being a member that the honors society values deeply; leadership, service, character, and citizenship.
As an organization, the National Honors Society is a prestigious group in which those of significant quality concerning character and high academic standard are accepted. In this, I believe that its members are often high contributors to society and often help others to the best of their ability. Although they are not always highly outspoken, members of NHS are frequently leaders in their community, in their schools, and elsewhere. As a result of these common traits found in its members, NHS must maintain a justified strict acceptance margin. Thus, my integrity of character, natural inclination for leadership, and understanding of the importance of activity in the community are all qualities which I posses that make me a viable candidate for membership in the National Honors Society.
I feel as I represent the core basis of the National Honor Society such as LEADERSHIP, SERVICE, and CHARACTER in a multitude of ways, here they are. I was a born leader, from the age of five when I started sports I took on a leadership role to the point I was essentially a second coach on the field or court. Whereas at the age of nine until now I have been a team captain to almost every baseball and basketball team I have been a part despite being younger than most. Along with being a team captain, I even devoted time to umpiring Little League baseball games and coaching and ensuring player development for kids of all ages. The summer before the start of ninth grade I was selected as a representative of my middle school to take part of JA BizTown business and leadership
After attending Tarrant county college I decide to join the cornerstone honors program. I was accepted into the program and it charge my life. Over the course of a year I was exposed to the idea of being able to formulate my own ideas through intense writing assignments an assigned readings. I came out of the program much more confident which ultimately gave me the courage to run for an officers position for the Beta Delta Omicron chapter at southeast TCC. The introduction to speech honors course helped me develop the crucial public speaking skills I would need to stand before 60 dedicate Phi Theta Kappa members and prove, in 90 seconds, why I deserved the opportunity to help lead the chapter. During my speech I describe my dedication to my
First of all, I am honored to be considered for a spot in National Honors Society. Many people wouldn’t believe that I would even be considered, so this means a lot to me. I would like to believe that I deserve this position because of my hard work and dedication to my academics. If I am accepted into National Honors Society, I hope I learn to become a better leader, role model, and person in general. I would work hard, be a leader, and focus on making the best future for myself. I am very dedicated to in the groups I participate in, including, sports, my job, and extracurricular activities. I believe the service we do can help improve one’s ideas for achieving goals. In the society, I hope to improve my knowledge in every way possible. I
The next few programs require a conical amount of supervision than the aforementioned, and are generally more lenient and flexible with the length of stay. Firstly, Y-Passages program is another program specifically for men. Applicants may have already been through one of the other programs offered by the “Y”, but it is not required. These applicants generally are self-sufficient, but may need additional support to fully realize their goals and residents may stay for six to nine months. Whereas, the Honor House is a residential program specifically designed for veteran men who are chemically dependent. Qualifications for this program include the individual being deemed benefit eligible by the Lebanon Veterans Association. Generally, the “Y” will accommodate the length of time per the needs of the veteran.
The function of an organization such as the National Honor Society is to educate students on leadership skills and provide ample opportunities to get involved and further enhance success. NHS can be a platform for students to showcase their commitment to advanced education and indulge in helping the community. Consuming factors of NHS include community service opportunities, leadership practices, teamwork, and the drive for growth and progress towards our futures. I expect that NHS can bring great opportunities like possible scholarships and academic and characteristic recognition. If selected to take part in the National Honor Society, I intend to contribute my enthusiasm for the importance of positively making an impact on the community,
