I believe that I would be a good representative for the National Junior Honor Society because I represent the five qualities of a member of the organization: scholarship, leadership, service, citizenship, and character. I have leadership skills from programs like Girl Scouts, softball, and Student Council. I’ve volunteered in many service projects including Christmas bags for foster children, playing piano at a hospice center, volunteering at a food bank, teaching brownies (2nd to 3rd graders) how to camp at a Girl Scout camp, passing out flowers to rooms in a hospice center, and passing out care packages to the homeless. I have amazing citizenship skills such as following rules and laws in not only the classroom but in my community, teaching
First of all, I would like to thank you and the Honor Society for this humbling opportunity for me to join the National Honor Society. This is a chance that I have been hoping for since the first time I heard of this organization, how it can help those who belong to it and how they have in turn help those of their community. I hope that this expression of my thankfulness has not been a waste of your time.
National Honor Society truly is a honor to be accepted into. National Honor Society represents scholarship, leadership, service, and character. I believe since I was young I have shown compassion and leadership needed in our society. That is why this is the right society for me.
As defined by the dictionary, honor is a high respect that is earned through deeds and reputation. But, what is honor, and how does one receive it? Honor is like many things that are hard to put into words. Along with that, honor can be totally different, depending on your perspective. In the play, A Few Good Men, there is a central theme based around honor, who is doing right and who is doing wrong.
If I were to be accepted into the National Junior Honor Society, which is one of the highest honors that can be awarded, I would consider myself to be a very lucky person. Throughout my life, I've always considered myself as someone with good character and values.I've always prided myself in always doing the right thing and helping others. In addition, I view myself as a leader, not a follower. Being a leader comes naturally to me. I'm a leader amongst my friends and siblings. They always look up to me when they have a problem or when they need advice. I have a good standard education with an A average which will help me achieve my goals in the future.
I may not be the best candidate for the next member of the National Junior Honor Society, but I certainly believe I could be a great addition! Overall, I am a great learner, leader and student. I have not had any major discipline problems since kindergarten! I have always had top grades and have been top of my class at some point or another. I have good grades that I always maintain and standards that I never lower. My character is not the best but it certainly isn’t the worst. I try to help out in my school or community when possible but regrettably I have not given much of my time to my school or community. At the end of the day, I am a good student, friend, son and brother.
Throughout my high school career I have tried to impact the lives of those around me while also learning from those around me as well. Over the four years I have attended my high school,I have grown into a person who is now more attentive of the different people, opinions, and cultures that surround me and this in turn has allowed me become more open-minded. This would be the legacy I hope that I leave behind. When I graduate from school and consequently leave my community, I hope that I have left a legacy of growth. That my experience can be an example of someone else because it is my firm belief that the greatest legacy one can leave behind can be a legacy others can learn from.
"Character, in the long run, is the decisive factor in the life of an individual and of nations alike." Theodore Roosevelt. Students should demonstrate scholarship, leadership, service, citizenship, and character because of three reasons. One, if students demonstrate these qualities they are more likely to get better grades and get reprimanded less. Another, without these traits, a student would have far less opportunities in the future. Finally, as students grow they will gain much more wisdom if they allow themselves to work on demonstrating these characteristics. Overall, these qualities are very important in the present, and in the future.
Homecoming Queen is the third installment of the Carter House girl series and a major developing point in the series. As a result, the book contained many key moments or events that all led up to the end of this story and set up the next one, therefore causing me to write an extra-long summary. The story follows main character DJ and the rest of the Carter House girls. Previously, in Stealing Bradford, Taylor disappeared at the end of the story. Taylor’s disappearing act followed a Myspace incident involving scandalous pictures of her, leaked by an unknown person. Homecoming Queen begins with Taylor returning home after the police and townspeople, including the girls have worried about and searched for her for weeks.
I am very grateful for the opportunity to apply for membership to the Anselmo-Merna National Honor Society. I am excited to take on a greater leadership role in my school and community. The National Honor Society is known for creating individuals that will strive to show exemplary character in and out of the classroom now and for future years to come. Scholarship is one of the four very important pillars of National Honor Society. I believe I should be accepted into the National Honor Society because I work very hard to maintain my 3.5 GPA. and have stayed consistently on the Honor Roll since the seventh grade. I am very diligent about my schoolwork and I always do the best work possible. I enjoy learning new things and trying to better cultivate

State agencies consist of the Arizona Department of Education; The Office of Superintendent of Public Instruction; The State Board of Education, which also serves as the State Board for Vocational and Technological Education and the Arizona Board of Regents. The state agency acts much like parents to local agencies by providing advice and professional information.
Throughout the novel “Homecoming,” the effects of the slave trade on the characters are explored. For example, Quey, the son of Effia, feels the pressure of carrying on his father’s slave industry in the midst of struggling with his identities. According to Quey, “he was one of the half-caste children of the Castle, and, like the other half-caste children, he could not fully claim either half of himself, neither his father’s whiteness nor his mother’s blackness. Neither England nor the Gold coast” (Gyasi 55). Quey makes it clear that he struggles to find his place in the world because he could never put an identity on himself. When asked to accept a position in his mother’s village, Quey was not enthusiastic about it because he had
Honors classes at times can be challenging. However, everyone has different perspectives on them. The difficulty of the courses usually vary by the instructor. Some teachers put a heavy load of work on their students and some give a balanced amount of work. I don't know what the teachers are like at your school but hopefully they won't be so cruel. My teachers were okay I guess.
Personally, I think poems and some traditional literatures are very hard for me. In contrast, I feel easy when I read novels and scientific papers.
