Hope is a 16 sixteen year old girl who just wants a normal life. She’s an undercover spy and is supposed to catch the most wanted criminal in America, Professor Louis. Therefore, Hope has to keep her secret or else the government workers who assigned her the “job” will assassinate her. The problem is that Hope is a terrible secret keeper, and another one of her most unfavorable traits is that she doesn’t really appreciate her family. For example, when Hope is out in public, she will act like she doesn’t even know her family because she doesn’t want to be embarrassed.
Hope has a mom, dad, and a younger brother named Timmy. She lives in Miami, Florida and has quite a big house. In fact, some people may say she’s spoiled rotten, but that’s not

She noticed a long, black car parked on the rough curb. She heard the engine of the car and it sounded like gunshots. The aroma of gas filled her nose and she nearly fainted.
“Are you Hope Matthews?” asked the tall man wearing a suit.
“Yes, why?” replied Hope with a puzzled look.
“We are from the government and we want you to become a spy to catch the most wanted criminal in America. His name is Professor Louis and we have been trying to catch him for 10 years,” said the shorter guy with the funky mustache.
Hope stammered, “Um… well…I…”
“It’s not a choice. Here is all your spy gear and you will do this job with pride. We list a few places to help you look,” interrupted the taller

She would always tell her mom and dad that she was going on a walk, even though that was a lie. When she got to the school, she unlocked the door with a bobby pin, a trick she learned from her mom, and quietly stepped inside. It was pitch-black and soundless. You could hear a pin drop, it was so quiet. The frigid air made Hope shiver. The email told her to go to the cafeteria and hide behind the oven. Hope smelled the foul odor of old food in the kitchen. She was in her hiding spot when she heard a noise that sounded like footsteps. Hope perked up, but it was only her imagination. She waited for about one hour and nothing happened. As a result, she walked out of the school and headed home. Hope approached her door and saw something funny. The door was wide open. However, when she quietly stepped inside she found nothing wrong. That was the problem, there was nothing wrong. The lights were unlit and everything was in place. The house was as quiet as a mouse. In all the books she has read, when someone breaks in, there has been something wrong. She walked upstairs and nearly fainted. Where was here mom? Her dad? Timmy? She ran all around the house with no one

As shown on the cover page, I did my project on Hope Was Here by Joan Bauer, which was published in 2000, and Say Goodnight, Gracie by Julie Reece Deaver, which was published in 1988. Hope Was Here is about a 16 year old girl, who is being raised by her Aunt Addie, who is a chef. Her mom, Deena deemed hereself unfit to take care of Tulip, who later changed her name to Hope as soon as she turned 12. Hope is a teenage waitress, and her Aunt Addie and she have moved around a lot. The story starts with Addie and Hope just arrived in the small rural town of Mulhoney, Wisconsin, from their last place of employment in New York. Hope spends the summer waitressing at the Welcome Stairways Diner, and Addie and her end up being involved the diner’s owner, who is recovering from leukemia, G.T. Stoops’ political campaign to clean up corruption in the town. Along the way, Addie and Hope both find love, and Hope finds the father figure she has so desperately wanted. While Say Goodnight, Gracie is about a 17-year-old girl, named Morgan Hackett dealing with her best friend, Jimmy’s death. Jimmy and Morgan have known each other their entire lives, and they spend almost all of their free time with each other. Their relationship left little room in their lives for other friends. When Jimmy dies, Morgan settles in a deep depression. She now wonders how she
Based on this reading, it seems like many students at this school are not able to achieve success because of the environment that they're in. There are a lot of violence in the school and the teachers aren’t that great. In the reading, The Hope in The Unseen, it states, “With the school’s dropout/ transfer rate at nearly 50 percent, it’s understandable that kids at Ballou act as though they’re passing through. Academics are a low priority, so stop to read the names of the honor students as they jostle by the bulletin board.” At Ballou, teachers often look down upon students that are not top in the class and with that being the case, those kids end up not finding the purpose of doing good in school.

Suena was walking home and she felt like she was being followed, but she thought it was because of the horror movie she watched the night before. It was about a twenty minute walk for Surena to get home and she often enjoyed but that day she didn’t enjoy it. When she got home there was a note on her fridge from her mother saying she’ll be back in a couple of hours and that there was leftovers in the fridge. She still had that icky feeling that someone was watching her, she kept saying in her head that it was just the horror movie scaring her. Her dog Belle was eating the couch again, when her mom got home she’d be mad. Surena went up stairs to her bedroom and forgot to lock the door that day, when her mother warned her many times before to
Surprised by Hope by N.T. Wright is a must read for any Christian looking to expand their understanding of faith. Surprised by Hope gives us a full understanding of salvation as it is revealed in the Bible. This book also tells us how we should act in our lives and in this world as God’s redeemed people. It reveals incredible insight that is important to us because it explains just how crucial our role in this world is. Wright talks about the way things currently are and how they will be with the resurrection and our salvation. The book expands on the Christian mission and what it means to live with hope and faith and attempts to answer the very famous question: What is heaven?
In N. T. Wright’s salient and apologetic book, Surprised By Hope, he addresses two main points of contention for the Christian religion surrounding the idea of eschatology. Eschatology is the doctrine of the last things, or study of the “end times”. Each religion has their own idea of eschatology. Theology surrounding the “final judgement” can be paradoxically personal, especially when the very theme of eschatology describes what will happen when there is nothing left. The Christian form of divinity is focused narrowly on the Parousia - royal presence- the resurrection, final judgment, state of heaven and hell, and is very concerned with teleological end of Christianity - a very broad, cosmic perspective about the surprise of christian eschatology.

When you finally woke up hope you did not feel affects of stiffness or other discomforts which would impede today's development. Wishing you a better today than yesterday, enjoy the adventure!
When I found out that Hope wasn't the main characters birth name, I was very surprised. From the very beginning of the story, you could tell she was a Hope and definitely not a Tulip. Hope's name was a great fit for her, not only because of the things she overcame, but also because of the way she held herself through those tough times. Her aura screamed hope. Hope held her head high through the worst times in her life, such as when Gleason Beal betrayed her and took off with all of her and Addie's money. Another rough spot in her life was not having a mom or dad. Hope had met her mom, Deena, a couple times, but she had no idea who her dad was. Throughout the book, she remained hopeful that her dad would come and swoop her off her feet and fix
When you look at Hope Wells you would never imagine her story and what she’s gone through. The way Hope got her name is a story in itself. Doctors told her mom that she wouldn’t be able to have children so she hoped and prayed and finally was able to have Hope. Hope was born in a small town in Pennsylvania called Latlobe. She moved to Maryland when she was 13, Hope is currently a senior and in fact turns 18 a week before her graduation. She describes her senior year as stressful because of all the requirements and responsibilities put on seniors. Yet with all these negative things Hope see’s the positive and looks forward to all the senior activities like prom. She’s super excited and thinks it will be fun. I asked Hope to describe herself
I think Hope is a more fiiting name for her than Tulip. When Hope was born she weighed in at at aproximately 2 pounds. Most baby's at the weight usualy have a servere condition or a big chance of dying. Hopes mother, Deena relized that she wasn't ready to be a mom. So Hope was left with no biologial parents and servere medical condions. That's when her aunt Addie stepped in. As she went on in her life Hope began to be a kind hardworking girl. She belived that anything she put her mind to would become possible. She was a blessing and hope guided her though her roughs life journey. Even if Hope knows somethings migiht not work out the way she wants it to like the G.T election she will be her whole heart into it and be hopeful that it will turn
During my third visit to the Lighthouse of Hope, I realized that I was getting used to moving boxes around. I also started to realize how well the Lighthouse of Hope was organized in order to do its job. In the early morning, around seven am or so, the volunteers who fill the boxes will go to the Lighthouse and fill as many boxes as possible, and if there is a volunteer for moving the boxes, they would help as well. While that was going on, the supervisor, Donna, would sit down near one of the two doors in the building. Donna sat there to welcome all those who entered as well as to give them a number, so that when it is called, they will be served. A few more preparations, like throwing out the trash, or making sure the tables were set up
