In order to move from where they are, to where they want to be, you will need to be able to use a range of communication skills. These skills involve being able to communicate understanding, care and concern and the capacity to explain events, provide encouragement, allay fears, contain anxiety, and provide practical help and support in ways that help to build trust and confidence.
