It appears that more people have influenced Juliet in this play than have influence Romeo. If it wasn’t for these influencers, the story most likely would have ended in a much different way. For example, Capulet probably had the most influence on the way the ending of the play began. He told Juliet that she was being selfish for not wanting to marry Paris because the marriage was arranged to cheer her up after the death of her cousin Tybalt (whose death was also an important factor in Juliet’s journey). Juliet’s father basically disowned her, causing her to go to Friar Laurence for help. She still did not want to marry Paris, so he helped her by giving her a poison that made her appear to be dead so she would not have to attend the marriage
Everyone has their different opinions on who is to blame for the deaths of Romeo and Juliet. Romeo and Juliet is about two people that fall in love from two different families who are in a feud with each other. Lord Capulet is to blame for the deaths of Romeo and Juliet because when Romeo was at the Capulet part he didn’t let Tybalt do anything to make Romeo leave. Reason two is he is the one that planned for Juliet to get married to Paris without her consent. The third reason is because after Juliet says okay to marrying Paris (going along with the Friar’s plan), Lord Capulet tries moving the wedding day up to Wednesday instead of Thursday.
Juliet has no idea what was in the poison and still drinks it. Romeo’s mother died with grief of the loss of her child. Juliet was so blind with love she didn't think how this would affect her friends and family or even how Romeo would act about it. She never went over the plan with Romeo and there was a short chance of them
Juliet took a Potion that put her into a deep sleep, which in result made her family think she was dead. Also making Romeo think the same thing, he went to her grave site to take his own life, there he had an encounter with her fiancé, Paris, and they engaged in a fight and shortly after killing Paris Romeo took his own life. A short time after Juliet awoke from her deep sleep she discovered that her husband and fiancé were dead and took her own
One person that had an impact of the outcome of the play was Friar Laurence because of the three things he caused and that was broken heartbreak, confusion, and death. All of this happened with the decisions he made while trying to help Romeo and Juliet with their love for each other. You would think since friar Laurence is a priest he would be a peace maker and know what is right for everyone. Even though he was just trying to help the two star crossed lovers, he will find himself in trying to explain his mistakes.
Juliet ask Friar Laurens to help her avoid her marriage to Paris or she will kill herself. Friar Laurens comes up with a plan and gives Juliet a potion and tells her to fake her death. In Act 4, Scene 1 Friar Laurens tells Juliet “I hear thou must, and nothing may prorogue it, On Thursday next married to this county And, if thou darest, I’ll give thee remedy.” Although he didn’t force Juliet to take the potion he still came up with the plan to help Juliet get out of the marriage and meet up with Romeo, which failed because Friar Laurens sent another Friar to give Romeo the letter.
The person to blame is Lord Capulet for the deaths of young Romeo and Juliet. There are lots of reasons on way he is to blame. One of the reasons is that he let Romeo stay at Capulet party.Tybalt told Lord Capulet to kick Romeo out of the party because he can’t tolerate Romeo. But Lord Capulet said Romeo is staying and he is a nice gentlemen and he should tolerate Romeo. If Lord Capulet kicked Romeo out of the party Romeo would have never met Juliet. If Lord Capulet handed the invititaion letter to someone who could read the clown would have never ran into Romeo and Mercutio. It is also Lord Capulets fault for never talking to Juliet.Lord Capulet should have did some work on his servent to see if any of them could read so he could gave the invitation list to who ever could read.
The characters that were at fault for the deaths of Romeo and Juliet were Friar Laurence and Tybalt. Those two characters were the cause for the deaths of these star-crossed lovers. Friar Laurence helped them get married even though they were still kids. Then Friar Laurence knew that neither of the families would have accepted the marriage yet he went and married them. Also, Friar Laurence gave Juliet poison just because she didn’t want to marry Sir Paris when she was already married to Romeo and when Sir Capulet threatened to disown her if she didn’t marry Sir Paris. Friar Laurence had a lot to do with the tragic deaths of these star-crossed lovers known as Romeo and Juliet. Tybalt then wanted to kill Romeo because he’s from the rivaling family and he despised him.
Then to top things off, Juliet’s parents basically said they would disown her if she refused to get married to Paris. This lead to Friar Lawrence’s plan which ultimately backfired and caused her death, Romeo’s death, and Paris’s death. Most people wouldn’t think a marriage could be deadly, but in this case, it
When Romeo was first banished, Friar Laurence came up with a plan to get Juliet to Romeo so they could be together. The plan could have worked but the letter with an explanation of what was happening never got delivered to Romeo. When one of Romeo’s servants, Balthasar, told him of Juliet’s “death”, Romeo (unknowing of the Friars plan) disheartened buys poison and travels to Verona. He goes straight to Juliet's grave without going to see anybody, specifically the Friar, to see if she really is dead. When he gets there, he see and kills Paris and then goes into the Capulets monument where he sees Juliet one last time, drinks the poison and falls down dead.
Juliet wanted to get out of an arranged marriage with Paris so badly, she wanted to kill herself. She was also distraught because Romeo was banned from Verona, and she can’t see him. Friar Lawrence helped her plan to fake her death, he gave her a potion to make her fall asleep for forty-two hours. “Take thou this vial, being then in bed, When presently through all thy vein shall run a cold and drowsy humor; for no pulse shall keep his native progress, but surcease; no warmth, no breath, shall testify thou livest…”(Shakespeare 818). This quote helps show that Friar was helping Juliet.
She stabs herself and falls on Romeo’s body” (Shakespeare 5.3.174-176). Eventually, she stabs herself after her failed attempt at trying to poison herself by kissing Romeo. Moreover, if Juliet’s relationship with Romeo was not secret she would not be dead. Next, Romeo is looking for poison from the Apothecary, the Apothecary does not want to sell to Romeo, but he needs the money.
Two days later one of her trusted friends who gave her the poison, came and woke her up. They way that Juliet showed that she showed “Dark and troubled times bring out a person’s true nature”, by she showed sacrifice she took the poison so she would have to marry Paris, she was deeply in love with Romeo and took extreme measures to make sure she could marry or be with her one and only love. Her actions really showed even through the dark and troubled times, of her parents forcing her to marry Paris, whom she did not want
She allowed him to kiss her even though she was supposed to be focusing on Paris at the moment. When she found out that he was a Montague, she felt obligated to see him. Despite this, she pushed through the feeling and continued to see him. After they were married, Romeo was banished the same day. It wasn’t long before Juliet was confronted by her parents about not wanting to marry Paris. Since the nurse was no help, she decided to go to Friar Lawrence. He told her to take his special potion to make her seem dead and that she would wake up in 42 hours. Additionally, he would inform Romeo and confirmed the plan would work. She took the potion, but the news didn’t get to Romeo before Balthazar misinformed him of Juliet’s death. When Romeo killed himself, she woke up a few seconds after and found him dead. She stabbed herself with a dagger so she wouldn’t have to live without him. Juliet states, “Yea, noise? Then I’ll be brief. O happy dagger, This is thy sheath. There rust and let me die”(5.3. 182-184). No matter what happened, Juliet is still responsible for her own actions. Even though the events pushed her into the emotional state she was in, it was her choice and she decided to take that
When Juliet comes to Friar Lawrence with the problem that her father forces her to marry Paris when she is secretly married and in love with Romeo, Friar helps her fake her death. He gives her a potion that will make it appear that she is dead, but will eventually wear off.
The hatred between the Montagues and the Capulets triggered Friar Laurence to give Juliet a sleeping potion, an action with grave consequences. Her dilemma is that her father, Capulet, is ordering her to marry Paris but she can't because it would go against her religion because she is married in secret to Romeo. Juliet asks Friar Laurence for a solution to her dilemma. The Friar proposes that Juliet take a special potion that would make it seem like she were dead. This is the Friar's instructions to Juliet as to when to take the potion and the effects of the potion:
