Josef Mengele had a plan for himself but his parents weren’t a fan. They wanted him to work in the factory but he wanted to study anthropology and science.s Mengele was later accepted into the University of Munich. The Nazi party was very popular in Munich at the time and that is how Mengele was introduced to it. He entered the Nazi party in 1938 but he didn’t go directly into Auschwitz, he was actually drafted into the military. The military did not last long for him though because he got wounded and went back to school to study heredity and genetics. After being wounded he was sent to Auschwitz to do human experiments. These experiments included many horrific means of finding information.

He tried to transplant limbs, bones, muscle tissue, and nerves without any painkillers. He forced some of his patients to stay in ice baths for up to 3 hours, or force them outside naked in below freezing temperatures, to test effects of hypothermia. He tried to change people’s sexes by taking out reproductive organs and transplant them on to other patients. He tried to make a conjoined twin by sewing their backs together and tried to connect organs and blood vessels. They developed gangrene soon and died. Women were injected with silver hydrate or iodine which causes profuse vaginal bleeding and cervical cancer (“What Were The Josef Mengele Experiments?”)He placed victims into low-pressure chambers and raised the altitude to research altitude sickness to the point of death. He forced them to drink only salt water. Josef Mengele grew up Gunzburg, Germany. He had a wealthy family and a bright future. The only thing that people can come up with for a reason why he would do these things is his mother had a temper, she would often go into the family factory and criticize workers. By no means should this force someone to torture thousands of innocent people.( “Dr. Josef Mengele: The Cruelest Nazi Doctor Of The Holocaust.”). Many serial killers blame their horrific acts on a traumatic happening in their childhood, but Josef didn’t have one. He did these terrible things to people just because he wanted the same thing as Hitler, a so-called “super-race” of Germans(“Dr. Josef Mengele: The Cruelest Nazi Doctor Of The Holocaust.”). Mengele believed that twins were the key to a so-called German lead super
Mengele's experiments stated, “My body most of the time was connected to tubes which inserted some drugs into my body. Many days I was tied up for hours” (“Personal Statements From Victims of Nazi Medical Experiments” 1). This quote shows yet again the terrible actions that Dr. Mengele was guilty of and proves that most humans are naturally evil. Although Josef Mengele performed experiments on the prisoners that stood out to him, he was particularly interested in twins. Mengele was so obsessed with twins that he oversaw gruesome tests on 3,000 sets (“Rantings of a Nazi Monster 1”).
According to Wikipedia, On March 16th, 1911 Josef Mengele, one of the cruelest men on earth, was born. He was born in Günzburg, Germany and he was the oldest of three children. His father’s name was Karl Mengele a prosperous manufacturer of farming implements. In 1935, the younger Mengele studied at the University of Munich and earned a Ph.D. in physical anthropology. Josef Mengele became an assistant of Dr. Otmar von Verschuer at the Institute for Hereditary Biology in 1937.
As people were forced in through the gates of Auschwitz and up the ramp, twins were separated from the masses and set to the side for Mengele’s research. Mengele’s twins were kept in a special separate house block where they would stay and be examined by him and the doctors who assisted him. When the examinations were completed, most subjects were killed and their organs were autopsied and analyzed so that more information about their genes could be
Mengele marked the lives of many prisoners in Auschwitz. His attempt to “increase the production of the German race” by any means necessary caused him to conduct experiments on twins. “There were moments when his death mask gave way to a more animated expression, when Mengele came alive. There was excitement in his eyes, a tender touch in his hands. This was the moment when Josef Mengele, the geneticist, found a pair of twins.”
Physical abuse of the elderly occurs when a carer harms the individual or places them in danger. A carer may be a family member or someone who is responsible for taking caring of them. The carer may hit, slap, kick, push, burn, or force feed the elderly person and these are all considered to be signs of physical abuse. They may also give the wrong amount or even the wrong medicine to the elderly person. Physical abuse also includes sexual abuse; when someone has sexual contact with an individual without their consent.
Doctors and Experiments of the Holocaust 6 million Jews, 2.7 million Soviets, 1 million Poles, half a million Gypsies, and a quarter of a million disabled and innocent people were all murdered and killed during the Holocaust. The Holocaust was a terrible and awful time in history, and often times we try to push it away and forget about all the innocent people that were killed. The doctors such as Josef Mengele and the experiments that he performed on concentration camp prisoners and kids were a big part of the Holocaust, and many of these people and children were tortured, dissected, and killed. Dr. Josef Mengele was known as the cruelest and evil doctor during the Holocaust. He was oftentimes referred to as the “Angel of Death.”
Born on March 16, 1911, in Gunzburg, Germany was Josef Mengele. He was amongst the eldest son of his father, Karl Mengele, who owned a chain of prosperous farming implements. Josef attended Munich University where he later earns his Ph.D in 1935. After his graduation, he applied to the Institute for Hereditary Biology and Racial Hygiene. When working there, he soon became the assistant of Dr. Otmar Von Vershuer which was very popular for his research on twins.
The horrific experiments of Dr. Mengele demonstrate the cruelty of the Nazi’s during the holocaust. Most of the world today knows of Dr. Mengele of having been the doctor of death for being responsible for killing more than 6 million Jews.
Experiments were done on prisoners for many different reasons. They were done to push the Nazis agenda that the Aryan race is the dominant race, and that they should be the only race. This idea is also known as eugenics. Some experiments were done in attempt to find a way to multiply the Aryan race faster by performing experiments on twins. They wanted to make sure that Aryans were the only ones reproducing because they thought they were the dominate race. To enforce this, they did experiments that would insure this idea through sterilization for males and females. They were trying to find new medicines to cure different diseases and conditions for the Aryan race. They wanted to find a way to make the Aryan race stronger and healthier and a way to multiply their race more quickly, because they believed that they were the superior race.
On the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum website, an article about Josef Mengele, stated that he was famous for his inhumane medical experiments he performed on prisoners in the concentration camps in Auschwitz. Mengele earned his Ph.D in Anthropology from the University of Munich in 1935. One of Mengel’s favorite experiments
Josef Mengele would perform many of his gruesome experiments mostly on twins, but also children. Dr. Josef Mengele wanted twins, for “medical research”, and the kids were younger or older than five years old (“Josef Mengele”). Then were murdered after the experiments was over and their bodies were dissected. Dr. Josef Mengele would collect the eyes of his murdered twins, and children. Since Dr. Josef Mengele was fascinated with heterochromia which was one eye color being different from the other one, Dr. Mengele would insert chemicals into the eyes of children to try to change their eye color from one to another. Dr. Josef Mengele performed twin to twin transfusion. Not only did Dr. Mengele do that but he also stitched twins together like siamese twins. To top it all of Dr. Josef Mengele castrated, and sterilized twins. To castrate a person means to remove their private areas. Many twins had their organs, and limbs removed in surgeries without any anesthesia. (“The Angel of Death.”) Dr. Josef Mengele performed a lot on twins to trace the genetic origin of various diseases. (“Josef Mengele”). Chloroform would be injected into the twins hearts so that the twins could die instantly, and Dr. Josef could dissect them piece, by piece. (“ The Angel of
Luckily for Eva Kor and Dr. Mengele, not only did the twin girl survive, but she forgave Mengele – perhaps it is people like these who truly frighten Mengele back into hiding. Among other experiments, Mengele also decided to do some research on a disease called Noma that was rare, but usually occurred in gypsies. “At one point, Mengele had two of the Gypsy children killed so that he could examine their detached heads.” (Cefrey 87) It is important to note that Mengele preferred children as patients or guinea pigs; while the reason is mysterious it could be assumed due to children being naïve or easier to obtain than adults (especially twins) and could be easily ripped away from parents.
Mengele searched for the secrets of heredity. The Nazi ideal of the future would benefit from the help of genetics, according to Nazi doctrine. If an Aryan women could give birth to twins who were sure to be blond and blue-eyed, the future could be “saved.” Mengele believed that twins held these secrets, and Auschwitz seemed the best location for such research because of a large number of available twins to use as specimens. To obtain these specimens, about 3,000 twins were pulled from the masses on the ramp, most of them children.
The Shakespearian tragedy, Macbeth has been said to be one of Shakespeare’s most profound and mature visions of evil. In Macbeth we find not gloom but blackness, a man who finds himself encased in evil. Macbeth believes that his predicaments and the evils that he commits are worth everything he will have to endure. In spite of this towards the end of the play he realizes that everything he went through, was not worth the crown, or the high price he had to pay of losing his wife, and finding himself alone. Macbeth is shown as a kind and righteous man in the beginning of the play. He is the Thane of Glamis, and a brave warrior among men and is highly regarded by the king of Scotland. All these traits make Macbeth great. Conversely, several
First and foremost I have an affinity for the arts, I spend my leisure time painting on canvas. Not only do I love art on canvas, but I appreciate all forms of it. I have always admired the films produced by the Tribeca Film festival, and for the first time this year was able to attend a screening (The Family Fang). Year after year Tribeca has remained true to the art and continues to hold a variety of diverse films. The festival serves as a pillar to the arts and culture of New York. Lastly, I do my best work when I am passionate and connected to it. After pursuing my MBA I realized I do not want the typical wall street job, I want to be somewhere that I can bring my personality and creative ideas to the job. It would be an honor to continue
