How Did Ludwig Van Beethoven's Greatest Impact On History?

Ludwig van Beethoven can still be considered a household name, even though Classical, or more accurately Romantic, music is no longer popular. According to Budden, Beethoven has been regarded as one of the greatest composers who ever lived, a statement that many others would agree with. A fountainhead of Romantic music and a man of great musical innovation, Beethoven was truly a talented composer. Beethoven’s music evolved into his own style over the course of his life leaving a great impact on history, despite the loss of his hearing. To start from the beginning, Beethoven was born in Bonn, Germany to a family of musicians like many musicians of the 18th century (Budden). Even though Beethoven was not a child prodigy, much to the disappointment of his father Johann, he still managed to become one of the greatest and most innovative composers both in history and during his own lifetime. Despite not having a quick start into the music scene, he was born with all the expectations and opportunities to turn out musically inclined.
