Muhammad Ali was a role model for a lot of people, he even was looked up to after he retired in 1978 (Owens 128). He was a great leader in this decade, he helped people by providing someone to look up to and someone to try to be like. Ali’s actions on and off the ring were noticed, people would change their ways because of him. Like most athletes today Ali inspired people by the littlest things, He would do something good and helpful and people in the community would do the same. Ali also has inspired athletes today with his fighting styles and inspirational messages. Muhammad Ali has ruled on and out of the ring in many ways, he will always be remembered in boxing history for forever.
Throughout history there have been many influential people who have lived in this country. Some were politicians, some were actors, and some were even athletes. One such man was a gifted boxer named Muhammad Ali. He made his mark as an amateur, then as a professional. "The Greatest" was the self-proclaimed nickname of Ali, but so many people agreed that it stuck. He went through trials and tribulations in his life, which make him a historic icon. Muhammad Ali is known for being "The Greatest" boxer of all time, but unlike other athletes he is remembered for his out of the ring actions as well as his athletic accomplishments.
Growing up figures such as Malcolm X, Martin Luther King, Angela Davis, Muhammed Ali, and so many more pivotal black individuals were represented throughout my childhood. While some such as Martin Luther King were more popular and talked about, others did not get as much educational coverage. Which is why I would like to take this opportunity to further my knowledge on Muhammad Ali. While Muhammed is more famously known for his plethora of accolades in boxing, he was and still is an important figure in black rights activism. Not only did he stand for racial injustices, but his religious beliefs as well. More specifically he took action and spoke out on the hypocrisy of the draft of the Vietnam war, and furthermore refused to fight in it. His
Muhammad Ali was not only the first person in history to win the heavyweight champion title three times, but he was also a person who never gave up his dream. We quit our dream jobs because there are such obstacles in our path such as expenses, lack of education, or simply because of laziness and complicatedness but not Muhammad Ali. In fact, he faced much bigger problems than us such as segregation and going to jail however he did not quit. He fought through it in order to become the best boxer in the world. He never gave up his dream in order to achieve in something he wanted to fulfill.

He was one of the only athletes to, in all honesty really be called a hero. He was brave, quick, but most importantly he never gave up. And because of these traits Muhammad Ali was a very inspirational fighter. He gave hope to many people, and for the rest he put on a sensational show. Showed us that we should never give up and always fight for our dreams. And this is why Muhammad Ali is my hero.
Cassius Marcellus Clay Jr. later known as Muhammad Ali, was a black boxer, and was proud of it. Many African Americans were ashamed of their color, but Ali was different. He was the first boxer to win the Heavyweight Championship 3 different times. He had a great personality and was liked by the people. During his life, he made big decisions that changed the course of his life completely. Muhammad Ali's journey through life was a great inspiration for African American people, but Ali himself deserves the admiration of everyone.
Muhammad Ali was diagnosed with parkinson’s after his fighting days.Before Muhammad Ali was diagnosed with parkinson's he wanted to be the best boxer in the world. This means that he dedicated his time and effort to become the greatest. Not only did he want to become the greatest he wanted to be recognized. This is important because it shows that Muhammad Ali had a dream and made it a reality. Also after his fighting days he was later recognized and was able to light the bonfire at the Olympics in

Inspireing americans that you can stand up for what u bellive in and take a stand. he changed that you shouldnt be taken to war for no reson and he broke the raicle barriar of boxing. Perhaps if people new how they really felt they would have changed there
