Pearl Harbor
Many attacks left countries destroyed and weakened during World War II, but nothing was like the attack against the United States at Pearl Harbor. This devastated the Americans and urged President Franklin Roosevelt to take action. In addition, the attack on Pearl Harbor not only impacted the Americans at home but many people around the world. When Pearl Harbor was destroyed, the U.S. was left with no choice but to join the war and retaliate against the Japanese.

Both countries battled and battled, but both sides couldn’t defeat the other. Until the day it all changed for the Japanese and for the whole world. On August 6, 1945, the US dropped the first ever atomic bomb on Hiroshima, Japan and then later on Nagasaki, After the attack on Pearl Harbor, the United States knew they had to do something to end the war, so they came up with the atomic bomb. Pearl Harbor motivated the use of the bombing, so if the Japanese had never attacked the US, the bomb would’ve never been dropped. It killed many civilians from Japan and many soldiers from both sides. The dangerous bomb did harm many lives, however, the US had to end the war somehow. The bombing left a big impact on the rest of the war. It forced the Japanese to surrender, which ended the war. The war had finally ended and the world could now come back together in peace. The atomic bomb propelled the war to come to an end. It saved the world from many more deaths in the future. Pearl Harbor truly did influence the bombing and attack on the Japanese.
