Historians refer to the Late Bronze Age in the Middle East as the “cosmopolitan era” because during this time there was a wide variety of shared cultures and shared lifestyles. During this time elite groups shared similar values and had set their standard for living relatively high. Elites were not only the people that had a higher status of living, the peasants had also had their standards rise as well.

The Hittites had changed the political landscape of Western Asia as they had new technology and were able to create tools and weapons forged with iron. These economic advances had led the Hittites to change the political landscape of Western Asia in a geopolitical sphere.
