After several years of huge success, the Beatles had to come to an end. They had a experienced so much fame in such a short time. Arthur Howes once commented that an artist will be around for five years, but he started to worry when the Beatles only toured for three years. (the end of touring ppt) For some fans, the end of their favorite boy band was unexpected and devastating. As for the Beatles, they saw the end nearing. Once the Beatles announced the end of touring and their breakup, they were never specific as to why they broke up. Years later, interviews with the different members provided some insight as to why they came to an end.

John Lennon and Paul McCartney were always very close friends and when they sat down to write sounds, they knew how to write hits. The magic between the two was fading and becoming obvious. John believed that the Beatles were holding him back and were controlling his life. Paul, on the other hand, still wanted to see the band succeed and it was his life.
