World war II was the biggest war in world history. It led to changes to almost all countries around the world. After the war, there were six establishments that helped to maintain order and peace in society. The enemies became allies, establishment of the United Nations, adoption of the Universal Declaration of Human rights, establishing Norms for the Rule of Law, Civil Rights movement, and women in the workplace; all would lead to social peace and order among the world. Even today, these norms would change what the world might look like and the way it would still affect most people around the world. So many years after the war, Japan and Germany have been great allies with the U.S. During WWII, U.S. destroyed many of the cities in Germany and Japan, leaving thousands of people homeless as well as weakening the entire country. The Marshall Plan in Europe and similar commitments in the Far East, America helped rebuild the lands of its former enemies and urged adoption of new democratic constitutions in those countries (Legacies of WWII). Through the alliance, the U.S. has created a bond to influence democracy to their close neighbors. After WWII, the allied powers established what was known as the U.N. or United Nations. Before the war, most women would be working in factories and as housewives. After the war broke out, most of them were recruited or sent to provide aid and service for their country. They worked in the battlefields and served as veterans. Women also proved that they could do men’s work and that they could do it well. When the war ended, many of them remained in active employment in the workplace(Legacies of WWII). Life for them definitely changed after the war, because they had more power, such as the right to vote and manufacturing jobs opened up to
