1. Car have been designed to have less mass throughout the years. To make a car have less mass it must be designed to make it weigh less. If you have less mass, you have more velocity. The car’s mass depends on the parts of the engine. Most cars have engines that are located toward the center. Due to the engine being a heavy part of a car or automobile it is useful for the engine to be located in the center of the car because more forces will be acting on it. If the engine were to be located in the front or the back of the car it would only overcome two tires instead of overcoming the four tires. It would make a car less safe because there would be a higher chance of slipping. In addition, friction is a force that resists motion. The tires of the car has grooves which will prevent the car from slipping. The friction between the grooves on the tires and the road will keep the car more stable. 2.
