Unlike their journey to the elven realm their journey home was not full of laughter as if a veil of sorrow had been placed over the convoy. By the time they had reached the city of the gods word had spread about what Benjamin had done to king Joseph. As the convoy passed through the city his subjects waved and smiled at the king, but they scowled and would not look at their prince. The convoy stopped where it began at the empty field beside the palace, and Benjamin not wanting to speak with anyone even Morgana and Amora ran through the side doors. Benjamin ran to his bedroom and slammed the door shut behind him. An hour later Abraham for once not knowing what to say to comfort the prince just walked into the room and placed the trunk filled with clothes at the foot of Benjamin's bed. For the first time in his life Benjamin did not have that same foolish smile on his face, and his people had no wish to see him. Benjamin was ashamed of what he had done, but he was more ashamed of the fact that he had hurt his people. The three friends walked around the city for at least an hour, but seeing that the walk was having no affect on Benjamin Morgana and Amora took him back to the palace. Having no other place to go and wanting to make sure that Benjamin was going to be ok Amora immediately accepted the king's offer. The next six years of Benjamin's life only grew worse wherever he went people would throw things at him, spit on him, and curse at him. Benjamin promised himself that he would never allow the evil to gain control of him, but three days after his eighteenth birthday that would all change. The prince was finally beginning to smile again so he invited Morgana and Amora to go on a walk with him. As they were walking Benjamin noticed that a group of men were following them so he lead his friends down an alleyway not knowing it was a dead

However, in the end of the novel, the reader can notice a drastic change in Ben’s overall character, especially in his last few days. Ben is suddenly willing to accept his death, which he was unable to do before, even when the effects of his disease were beginning to become more evident in his daily life. Ben begins, as he describes, “...living in a gauzy haze…”(Crutcher 304). He goes on to explain that he is continuing to become weaker and weaker, but he manages to keep his core

What do Benjamin Franklin, Charles Dickens, Paul Revere, Louisa May Alcott, Clara Barton, Charles Darwin, Frank Lloyd Wright, Abigail and John Adams, and Alexander Graham Bell have in common? Every one of these renowned men and women was a Unitarian or a Universalist. The Unitarian Universalist religion began as two separate religions: the Universalist Church of America, founded in 1793, and the American Unitarian Association, founded in 1825. Unitarianism originated in Poland, Transylvania and England, and then later developed in New England. Unitarians rejected the existence of the Holy Trinity and did not consider themselves a Christian denomination. Universalism formed after a divide between Baptist and Congregationalist churches that
In my opinion, I believe Franklin’s motivation began as a desire to meet the expectations of himself and other people. He seemed like a people pleaser and didn’t want any conflict but he secretly knew how to get ahead. It is like he was using people to climb higher in the ladder whether he believed it or not. I think because he was young and he had the idea that the act of selflessness would be convenient to accomplishing his goals therefore he put others before himself in order to gain more from the people he helped. For example, Franklin gave out money to his “friends” John Collins “…I was oblig’d to discharge his lodgings, and defray his expenses to and at Philadelphia...”
Benjamin is also seen again on page sixty-eight and we know again that something is going to go wrong again, “except old Benjamin, who nodded his muzzle with a knowing air, and seemed to understand, but would say nothing.” The reader is now starting to see a trend in Benjamin’s senses, “with an air almost of amusement” and “with a knowing air” (page 68) these very similar sentences tell the reader that Benjamin could see all of this happening and that he knew everything was going to go wrong.
Gabriel, Asmon, and Venrab saw me and Lady Soeliel enter. They walked closer and welcomed us. It was a great comfort to hear their voices again. I greeted my friends, friends that fought beside me. We saw many familiar faces present. Gabriel looked up at me and enquired about my journey to the village of Naran, at the rim of the king’s castle. Asmon asked me if I knew what the meeting was about. I told him that I had no idea, but it should be good news. While I was busy to recount my story of the encounters and dangers I faced, Jeremiah interrupted the converstation. He called the gathering to order, cutting the greetings and pleasantries short.
Ben was originally scared of sitting in a room with highly contentious students. He was the most stupid person amongst his friends. As Mrs. Grewell made the line game, took the students to the Holocaust Museum, and arranged for guest speakers, Ben felt an internal, rude awakening. Ben felt a surge of courage after watching a video of an angry
In the morning Haiden got dressed, ate and ran out the door. Reaching middle school, he went down the hall, he had been banished from. he glanced over and saw Ben’s cronies muttering to each other, staring at Haiden. Haiden continued down the hall. He saw Ben talking with a girl to his left.
Now in the literary story Benjamin has a grandfather who at the start was antagonized, became to enjoy his grandson’s company. It is a brief account of his grandfather but a meaningful one as this was the first one who gave him a sense of acceptance. The film version gave him acceptance through Queenie and we never get to know a grandfather; though one could say the patrons at the old folk’s home could have been grandparent surrogates for Benjamin. The patrons at the old folks home taught him many things but his experience living there taught him not to fear death and what loss was about which, in a sense, desensitized the character so that when Queenie passes he is not visibly upset.
He generates a happy, sad feeling and realizes he should enjoy the time he had with her, and live life at the moment. This scene sets up a foreshadow for Benjamin’s family. He may move on and enjoy the moment. Later in the movie when the zoo is open, Benjamin and Kelly (zookeeper/ caretaker for animals before zoo opens) talk about the amazing business so far.
This is where we pick up this week, with the brothers standing before Joseph, trying to figure out how to get their brother back. They still don’t know that they are actually talking to Joseph, their brother. They plead Joseph to let them return with Benjamin, saying that their father will die if they return without him. Joseph still refuses. Then Judah steps up and offers to stay as slave instead of Benjamin. When Joseph sees Judah offering himself in Benjamin’s place, he can no longer hide his identity any longer. He sends everyone else out of the room and, crying, tells them that he is their brother, Joseph.
