Visualize sleeping only to wake up from an ear-splitting noise that could only be identified as a gunshot. Heart rate thrumming like wings of a caged bird caused by the anxiety of being the one shot. This is the bitter reality for civilians residing in gang stricken communities. Unfortunately, fear and agitation are two of the emotions they feel the most.Terror is the norm for people living in communities with a gang problem, People are feeling that gangs are a burden to everyone .Society should not suffer because of lost people who are engaging in dangerous activities. For example, drive-by shootings, a young boy could live in a neighborhood full of gang violence, and one unsuspected day, one of his family members is walking in between a gang shootout consisting of two rival criminal organizations and gets shot by accident.The family member was innocent; he was just in the wrong place at the wrong time. The person that the young boy lost could have been someone close to him ,like his father, mother, or a relative that takes care of him. Since that child no longer has that person in their life ,they may no longer have someone to provide for them, so they turn to the streets to make money and sometimes decide to join a gang to receive the love that they no longer have in their household.
