[UNDER CONSTRUCTION] Shadow Word: Break & Power Word: Yield; These words of power and strife are not widely known, few have ever heard of them and most never will. Shadow Word: Break; A word of such tainted whispers simply hearing it 's incantation would be enough to break your mind and body fifty times over. Your bones would shatter; orifices would bleed, and your death would swiftly be at hand; and no amount of healing or mending could ever suffice to reverse the curse in time.
Which brings me to our next point... how does one stop a rampus curse? By forcing it to yield of course! Originally conceptualized by a venerable elder priest whose name was lost to time; Power Word: Yield was first spoken to halt the dark words of shadow at their core and prevent any further damage by placing the sticken victims in a state of stasis... As if time had forgotten them.
In this state any sufferings would not disseminate but nor would thought. The conscious mind would lie still in space feeling what was last felt, thinking what was last thought. There was no need for the air in their lungs, the light in their eyes, or the beating of their own hearts. The only thing they felt in this state of ultimate weakness was endless pain. But because of this they could be transported without repercussion and over a great deal of time be mended once the words of light and shadow leave their ears.
These words have great significance to Bellaruna and the path before her, for it is these words
They would be overwhelmed with the possibility that maybe there is more out there to explore. “Would he not be ridiculous? Men would say of him that up he went and down he came without his eyes; and that it was better not even to think of ascending; and if any one tried to loose another and lead him up to the light, let them only catch the offender, and they would put him to death."(203) Of course the prisoners would question everything at first and think he was insane as the quote above states. But afterwards some of them would be intrigued, and they would begin to think about the information that is before them. “Anyone who has common sense will remember that the bewilderments of the eyes are of two kinds, and arise from two causes, either from coming out of the light or from going into the light, which is true of the mind's eye, quite as much as of the bodily eye; and he who remembers this when he sees any one whose vision is perplexed and weak, will not be too ready to laugh; he will first ask whether that soul of man has come out of the brighter light, and is unable to see because unaccustomed to the dark, or having turned from darkness to the day is dazzled by excess of light.” They would learn to welcome the light and learn from the darkness, because to those few prisoners, everything the man had described to them sounds unbelievable compared to the dark cave that they have been stuck in their whole

Escaped! Kate and Mr. Jacks were finally free but would life outside the force field be worth the sacrifice? Kate and Mr. Jacks were only 50 feet away from there magnetic prison. They were afraid to move staying within the shadows for protection. They sat there for hours fearing the unknown. What would happen in the next second, minute or hour was unknown?
Using uncertainty and stating how the men are meant to know knowledge but women should not even think without consulting the men. She demonstrates this by stating passages from books but not stating which book those passages came from, but a man would know because he is knowledgeable and reads a lot. Also by stating how she is devoted to God and how His opinion and acceptance of her is all that matters shows that the only goal of her life is to be obedient to God and his companions.
It is significant that her glowing, positive praise of the King is produced with the religious language of holiness and honor which gives her power.
These two statements are very important because they are the backbone of the whole book. These are the strongest parts that support the women she is. She is so hand in hand with God that she doesn’t even once criticize the reasons she’s in captive but as I have stated before, she blames herself for not praying enough. In the sixth remove she explains her circumstance, her being surrounded by her former enemies amidst no Christians at all but herself. She exclaims, “Oh the experience that I have had of the goodness of God, to me and mine!” Without any form of disbelief she praises the kindness of God. The beauty of her relationship with God is that she mentions no matter what kind of situation she is in whether it be near death or with luxuries. And she sees every good thing that happens to her as a sign of God. To sum it up, everything that has happened to her was pre-planned and the grace of God.

Also the comparison in Christian themes to the central characters is another aspect that is critically analyzed in these poems. By comparing and contrasting these two poems allows for a deeper analysis of both the heroic and Christian qualities that they possess within them. These poems are didactic in the way that it helps the reader learn about what is right and the correct way to behave. Judith is the hero figure in the poem of the corresponding name. It is unique in the fact that the heroic figure is a woman, as it was unusual for that time period.
