One element from the book Of Mice and Men that created suspense for me is whenever Steinbeck put Curley's wife in a room with the men. This kept me interested because when Curley's wife would be alone in a room with Lennie and George there would always be suspension on whether or not Curley would catch her. For example on pg. 86, "She said quietly,'He's scared Curley'll get mad.'" In this statement Curley's wife makes, she infers that when Curley gets mad something bad will happen which creates suspense on what would happen if Curley got mad. Another element from the book that created suspense for me is at the ending when Lennie killed Curley's wife. This kept me interested because I wanted to know what Lennie would do next, if he would tell
