Having an environment that is advancing daily in technology makes communication everyday easier for people. It expanse the availability for communication for the people who are in different countries, gives them the ability to communicate in the comfort of their own home. For an instant, my mother lives here in the United States, but her family lives in Mexico, therefore, communicating face-to-face is inconvenient for them unless she flies to them. Technology allows us to separate ourselves, mentally, from what’s going on around us. In “Is Google Making Us Stupid”, by Nicholas Carr, he notices how the internet allows him to jump around and lose focus. Another effect that technology has on society is that we are losing fundamental social skills. Texting and emailing make it easy to contact someone, but we are losing skills that come with face-to-face communication.

Google it, a phrase that most of us use and said it, which it is very common in our generation. Most of us know that the internet has made part of our daily base. The internet is a resource for almost anything and as a result, we are becoming dependent on things like to increase work productivity, reading, and writing. By just typing in a few words, the internet can process of thinking, gathering and ordering thoughts and even a spell check with the convenient of where you are and need in your hands. Technology has brought us out of the dark ages and has given us the ability to do things we never thought were possible. It is all around us and it helps to make our lives just a little bit easier. Technology has improved our communication and social interaction by making it possible for us to get information from one place to another in seconds and for people to travel great distances, including over the ocean in a lot less time. It has improved education by broadening our horizons and allowing us to experience and share different cultures with each other and enabling us to connect with new people from all around the world. Technology has made it possible for medical patients to become mobile or even hear again and enjoy a normal life.

Since the get-go innovation has bailed us out as a human race. From the innovation of the wheel to the Internet, innovation has been an awesome component in transit our human progress has developed. With more innovative advances practically around the bend, our progress will keep on becoming quicker and speedier than any time in recent memory.

In today's world, technology plays an important role in our daily lives. Computers have increased the quality of life. Technology makes our interactions much easier. It helps people keep in touch from long distances. Our phones keep us entertained through social media. GPS has impacted the way we travel. Advances in technology have made it much easier for the average person to travel the globe and stay in touch with their homes while they are away.

People can use there technology when they have nothing to do but it just keeps you away from friend and family. Technology can really be helpful for when you are lost and don't know where you are at you can use technology to communicate to get to the place you need to be at. But technology distracts people but can also help people a lot in ways.

Technology is a way that all six billion people in the world can communicate with each other. We can follow people from all over the world on Facebook, Instagram, Tumblr, Twitter, and many more social media sites. Technology gives us ways to communicate with celebrities, your child that you recently sent off to college or the world, and your friends and family who live in different states than you. Technology in video games allows us to play in multiplayer mode with our friends, while being at our own houses. New advantages with technology is that we can text, call, and use the internet all on one device. Also, technology plays a great role in the medical field. I do not think technology isolates us from society, I think that technology connects us with one another in a unique way.

Since the beginning, humans were drawn to connection with people from very far; in today’s age, cellphones give that opportunity. Talking on the phone use to be a household thing, but it now connects people to others while on the go. Another cellphone feature that helps connect people is text messaging (a.k.a. SMS); it’s a faster easier way to speak with others. Unlike in recent decades mailing a letter, or even when email was invented, text messaging gives people a faster connection. Other than phone calls or text messaging, browsing the internet is another way people like to stay connected. Applications such as social media provide ways in which people can connect in a more simplistic way. Cellphones give people a broader connection with the world.

On the website of Facebook, it says to ‘help you connect and share with the people in your life’. Then Twitter tells people to ‘see what’s new’, and Instagram moves a little bit forward – to capture and share wonderful moments around the world. Basically, nowadays new media are encouraging more people to get involved and be together. All of this cannot be achieved without the invention of the Internet and, even more importantly, mobile phone. As 80 per cent of Twitter users are active on mobile devices, the majority of these are likely to be Smartphone users (HMA digital marketing 2014). From the wild range media effects have spread, it is easy to understand one aspect of media power is depended on technology.

Throughout the last decade, social media has drastically changed the way people interact with others. Websites like Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram have taken the world by storm. It has never been easier to have a conversation with family members, friends, or even strangers who live millions of miles away. Due to the rise of social media, people have become more aware of social issues and have become aware of the world around them. They can easily read the news online or catch up on the latest celebrity drama. Social media improves the way humans communicate because it allows ideas to be spread quickly and efficiently to a global audience.

To a copious amount of people, globalization is only prevalent in a country’s economy. Although economies are affected, this is not the only component of a country that can be changed. A country’s government, for example, is vulnerable to change due to an increasing amount of globalization. Many times, the countries that are most affected do not have democratic means of government. The introduction of state-of-art technology and western corporations allows citizens in non-democratic states to gain new information. This gives them both the needed communication and resources to gain political freedom, and crawl out from underneath political tyrants.

Technology is beneficial because it improves communication while also proving to be convenient to society. Brad Stone, in his article “Web of Risks” references Mitchell Perley, an Atlanta-born student that lives in Scotland who still wishes to stay in touch with his friends at home. Stone says, “...His page is linked to the pages of 99 friends at his college and 845 back home at various U.S. schools” (Stone para 5). Before technology, if someone moved away, that was the last time they would talk to their friends. Now with Facebook and many other social media platforms, Mitchell can talk to and even see into the daily lives of his friends 3,951+ miles away. It is almost as if Mitchell never left. In the article, “As Technology Gets Better, Will Society get Worse?” Tim Wu defines technological evolution and explains its role in people’s lives. Wu says, “[Technological evolution] is self-evolution, and it is therefore driven by what we want as opposed to what is adaptive… When it comes to technologies, we mainly want to make things easy. Not to be bored” (Wu para 12). The invention of technology was centered on the idea that we could make life easier, and this plan is still the motivation for making new technology today. Technology is and has always been based on providing an easy way to talk to people, while also making things easier on a day to day basis. Through these ideas, technology continues to grow and innovate in a positive direction.

Information technology has shaped the world faster and more shockingly than ever before. It’s so much a part of society in the country I live in that if it disappeared tomorrow there would be chaos. It’s touched everything from financial markets to government accountability. If I would to create a list it would be several pages long. Technology has allowed companies to be more efficient, provide near instant and very complicated transitions both domestically and internationally, find employees, promote products, create and sell tangible products for reuse, reduce waste, and even their workers have become more productive. Individual consumers can now have access to a wealth of information, find jobs, or connect with family and friends around the world through social media instantaneously shop and find others with common interest while sitting in their own home.
