Some might say that because trump is a buisessman he can help America grow in its economy. But the fact still remains that, Trump has no history in politician what so ever, he is a business man and that’s it. Past presidents and canidts such as Obama, Hillary Clinton, and bush etc have all started out as lawyers or have part in some sort of government background or experience, not trump. He studied business at Wharton university, the most elite and well respected business school in the world. From there he has built casinos, made he’s own tv show, Trump vodka, board games and much more. Its no secret he is a good business man and could help America grow in its economy, but the economy is one of billions of problems America has, Isis, poverty
Throughout Donald's life success was not easy for him or his businesses. The Trump organization revealed that it was 5$ billion in debt in 1990, with as much as 1$ billion spent by Donald Personally. With all the casinos, hotels, and cars Trump had to create a bailout system that would allow him to take out two to three mortgages on most of properties. Unsurprisingly Donald Trump filed for bankruptcy four times. Although he was in the hole, he was able to get himself out and with that I think that he wouldn't have been able to make any crucial business decisions without the help of many bankers and lawyers but also the use of a free enterprise system.
Imagine that Donald Trump wasn't a businessman? I think he brought up the stocks, they are high. He is a President for the United States. He has or had four different businesses. He was in a Reality TV show. Donald trump has different talents and that he is a Renaissance man.
Since he has no background in politics, he has no way to predict how he will act as a President. Many of his supporters believe he is a successful businessman, thus will help strengthen the economy. That is not exactly the case. Although Trump is famous on both social media, has had television shows such as ‘The Apprentice’, and has authored multiple books, his career is not successful. Trump is proved to have filed for bankruptcy at least four times in his career.
As the owner of a ten billion dollar empire, Trump has established a firm reality that he knows how to make money. He has also shown that he has the leadership capabilities to head a conglomerate with thousands of employees under his wing, and has shown to the people that he can handle this responsibility reliably. Some may argue that Trump has been unsuccessful in the past, as he declared corporate bankruptcy four times over his long and storied career (O'Connor). However, past instances of failure have not been able to stifle him in his pursuit of riches. Many are aware of the fact that some of the country’s greatest presidents have a failed business under their belt. The fact that Trump was able to pick up the pieces of his business after bankruptcy and reinvent his company time and again indicates that he should be applauded rather than
As president of the United States, the public often believes that the nation’s leader can control the economy. However, while the president may have some influence over the economy, having control over the economy is far from truth. In fact, more often than not a president’s influence over the economy is more subtle and difficult to measure until years after the president has left office. The president is given the responsibility of appointing members of the Federal Reserve Board who are subsequently approved by the Senate. The Federal Reserve Board is responsible for much of the monetary policy which governs the central banking system if the United States controlling interest rates, the money supply, and overseeing the Nation’s banking system
Trump speaks his mind and he scares people, Donald can be a good president because his success can help our country grow, he plans to change this country for the better. You see him everywhere, you hear his name all the time. He is a wealthy businessman who has decided to run for president. Trump has 7.7 million twitter followers and one of the most known people in the country.
When the Great Depression hit, Roosevelt took charge and led America through it. His guidance, along with the New Deal and social changes, reshaped the country. Roosevelt's strong leadership helped America during the Depression, changing how things worked and how people lived. Roosevelt's actions brought hope during the crisis and paved the way for essential economic and societal changes. The New Deal initiatives he introduced reshaped the government's role in the economy, assisting millions of Americans and sparking long-lasting reforms.
You pointed out how the Great Recession also affected the inmate with mental health or substance abuse issues. This is a very important factor because many people including myself, focus on the major hits caused by the Great Recession such as, unemployment and the housing market crisis. The inmate mental health population had many hardships with getting needs addressed prior to the Great Recession. The Recession however, could only have intensified the problem. Inmates are not looked upon as tax paying citizens and their needs are often overlooked or not addressed entirely.
Trump plans on boosting the american economy by reforming policies with a pro-growth tax plan, introducing a new modern regulatory framework, passing an America-First trade policy, and introducing “penny plan”, which is a budget goal that Trump wants so he can help decrease government spending everything except
For starters, Trump being inaugurated was a gargantuan controversy, with everyone picking sides: Pro-Trump and Anti-Trump. Hardly anyone is just neutral, and it is my belief that that needs to change. Firstly, he is racist, sexist, homophobic, a misogynist, Islamophobic, etc., but when you look at his plans for the country, he has some favourable business plans. For example, he plans to give Americans their jobs back, and that is truly wonderful
Derrick I agree with your view that undocumented immigrant is not necessary bad for the economy. I would add to that the benefit will remain so up to a point. It seems that the consensus on the overall impact of illegal immigrant to the economy is slightly positive. How long can this remain? If more undocumented worker continues to cross the border in large numbers, at some point this will a negative impact on the overall health of the economy.
When you think of the history and background of Trump we think of a business man, millionaire, someone who can get the job done. Now that he is running for president, we need to take these things into consideration and how he will contribute to our country. I will start by stating that Trump is self supporting, he does not rely on other people’s donations to run his political campaign so nobody will have a say in what happens other than him in his presidency if he wins the election (Delgado 1). One thing that I like about his campaign is how he does not agree with immigration to our country. He wants to build a giant wall to keep out Muslims, Mexicans, etc…
President-Elect Donald Trump will enter office January 20, 2017. He has many great plans and ideas on how to improve the United States economy drastically. Many economists have argued on how Trump’s plan will improve the United States, but can do some damage to the U.S. Currently, the United States is in twenty trillion dollars in debt. The main question is: Is Trump the right man for the job? Today, the focus would be on how Donald J. Trump’s plan can revamp the United States economy and what effect will it do overall.
Will Donald Trump fulfill America’s request and actually “make America great again”? When friends of mine who are Trump supporters inform me that they support him, I don’t understand the reasons why they picture him as our future president of the united states. Donald Trump has never been an elected official. He has never been elected into an office of any kind. He’s never had to broker political compromise or gave any political speeches prior to him running for president. With no experience in politics at all, why would people think he’d make a good president? Sure, Donald Trump is a barefaced self-promoter and experienced businessman. But people don’t realize all of the mistakes he has made as a businessman. Washington, D.C., is not a type of Wall Street or anything for him to lose money or make some reckless decisions that would put our country into a deeper hole that we are already into, and also getting multiple things done within the nation’s capital takes more than a huge personality and a strong will. If Donald Trump is elected to be our president, he’ll have to quickly learn how to deal with his Democratic associates in the House of Representatives and Senate. He’ll also have to get used to the pace of government because there are moments when things can accelerate pretty quickly and also where things can move extremely slow at times. He’ll also have to get used to giving speeches on topics he may not be interested in, especially when it comes to conversations
The United States is currently experiencing a slow recovery from the recession of 2008-09. The current unemployment rate is 7.7%, which is the lowest level since December of 2008 (BLS, 2012). However, this rate is believed to higher than the rate that would occur if the economy was operating at peak efficiency, and it is also believed that there are structural issues still underpinning this performance. For example, the number of Americans who have exited the work force as the result of prolonged unemployment is believed to be higher than usual. In addition, the Congressional Budget Office (CBO, 2012) notes that long-term unemployment of greater than 26 weeks is at a much higher rate than normal, which will have adverse long-run effects on the economy, since workers with long-term unemployment often find their career paths derailed.
