“UNEMPLOYMENT” The United State economy has been affect in many ways. Unemployment is one of these ways in which the economy is affected. Manufacturing companies are taking their business else where therefore causing many to be lead off.
Trump speaks his mind and he scares people, Donald can be a good president because his success can help our country grow, he plans to change this country for the better. You see him everywhere, you hear his name all the time. He is a wealthy businessman who has decided to run for president. Trump has 7.7 million twitter followers and one of the most known people in the country.
Throughout Donald's life success was not easy for him or his businesses. The Trump organization revealed that it was 5$ billion in debt in 1990, with as much as 1$ billion spent by Donald Personally. With all the casinos, hotels, and cars Trump had to create a bailout system that would allow him to take out two to three mortgages on most of properties. Unsurprisingly Donald Trump filed for bankruptcy four times. Although he was in the hole, he was able to get himself out and with that I think that he wouldn't have been able to make any crucial business decisions without the help of many bankers and lawyers but also the use of a free enterprise system.
Imagine that Donald Trump wasn't a businessman? I think he brought up the stocks, they are high. He is a President for the United States. He has or had four different businesses. He was in a Reality TV show. Donald trump has different talents and that he is a Renaissance man.
Trump may be known for his wealth but many aspects has shown that he is definitely bad in business. As president, being good in business is one of the key aspects to succeed, because you have to handle the whole nation’s financial matters. Trump boasted that he earned his own money, but he isn’t like Bill Gates or Mark Zuckerberg, who are self-made billionaires who were innovators in their fields. Instead, Trump’s wealth is inherited from his father. Almost all his best-known successes are deducible to family ties or money given to him by his
Derrick I agree with your view that undocumented immigrant is not necessary bad for the economy. I would add to that the benefit will remain so up to a point. It seems that the consensus on the overall impact of illegal immigrant to the economy is slightly positive. How long can this remain? If more undocumented worker continues to cross the border in large numbers, at some point this will a negative impact on the overall health of the economy.
Hi Kirsty, Great thoughts! You pointed out how the Great Recession also affected the inmate with mental health or substance abuse issues. This is a very important factor because many people including myself, focus on the major hits caused by the Great Recession such as, unemployment and the housing market crisis. The inmate mental health population had many hardships with getting needs addressed prior to the Great Recession. The Recession however, could only have intensified the problem. Inmates are not looked upon as tax paying citizens and their needs are often overlooked or not addressed entirely.
For starters, Trump being inaugurated was a gargantuan controversy, with everyone picking sides: Pro-Trump and Anti-Trump. Hardly anyone is just neutral, and it is my belief that that needs to change. Firstly, he is racist, sexist, homophobic, a misogynist, Islamophobic, etc., but when you look at his plans for the country, he has some favourable business plans. For example, he plans to give Americans their jobs back, and that is truly wonderful
In short, the larger the tax cuts, the larger the deficits, the larger the deficits the larger the debt that is incurred to offset the budget deficit. The Committee for a Responsible Federal Budget, a non-partisan organization put out an article talking about the impact of the tax plan that Donald Trump is proposing. In the article titled How Much Will Trump's Tax Plan Costs it says, "Based on what we know so far, the plan could cost 3 to 7 trillion over a decade- our base-case estimate is 5.5trillion in revenue loss over a decade." Either way, the tax plan presented by Donald Trump, even with the best case scenario it is a loss of $3 trillion in revenue. The more revenue the government loses from tax cuts, the more the deficit and debt
Exactly the type of comments I had hoped he would refrain from making. If he would have left his NATO comments out, he's speech would have been more powerful. Despite what Trump thinks there are many Republicans that don't agree with abandoning NATO. Yes, other NATO nations must step up their contribution to actions across the globe. I am tired of seeing the US pay for nearly everything NATO does. However, abandoning it should be a last resort.
I do find it hard to believe that Trump, has any idea what making money to this person means. He may be a business man, but it is impossible for us all to be millionaires. Impossible! I continuously hear that he will run our country like a business. I just want to point out two things at this time, I own a small business, and how is it going to help me if the federal government balances their budget? If you consider the austerity that will happen in order to balance the budget it will probably severely hurt me and my customers! Second problem I have is the very premise that our government should be run like a business. We are a group of people that need security and some assistance in running its complex human geography. If we run it like a business, like the prison system is trying and failing to do, you know who Trump will “fire”? Those that are not contributing significantly to the US economy, those that are most vulnerable; that’s the poor, mentally ill and children and next on the list are people that drive trucks like the one in the picture and mine. Businesses are run to be efficient and lean… to make money, without regard to human rights. That was the entire premise of his book and his TV
Donald Trump V.S. United States Economy President-Elect Donald Trump will enter office January 20, 2017. He has many great plans and ideas on how to improve the United States economy drastically. Many economists have argued on how Trump’s plan will improve the United States, but can do some damage to the U.S. Currently, the United States is in twenty trillion dollars in debt. The main question is: Is Trump the right man for the job? Today, the focus would be on how Donald J. Trump’s plan can revamp the United States economy and what effect will it do overall.
The United States is currently experiencing a slow recovery from the recession of 2008-09. The current unemployment rate is 7.7%, which is the lowest level since December of 2008 (BLS, 2012). However, this rate is believed to higher than the rate that would occur if the economy was operating at peak efficiency, and it is also believed that there are structural issues still underpinning this performance. For example, the number of Americans who have exited the work force as the result of prolonged unemployment is believed to be higher than usual. In addition, the Congressional Budget Office (CBO, 2012) notes that long-term unemployment of greater than 26 weeks is at a much higher rate than normal, which will have adverse long-run effects on the economy, since workers with long-term unemployment often find their career paths derailed.
Will Donald Trump fulfill America’s request and actually “make America great again”? When friends of mine who are Trump supporters inform me that they support him, I don’t understand the reasons why they picture him as our future president of the united states. Donald Trump has never been an elected official. He has never been elected into an office of any kind. He’s never had to broker political compromise or gave any political speeches prior to him running for president. With no experience in politics at all, why would people think he’d make a good president? Sure, Donald Trump is a barefaced self-promoter and experienced businessman. But people don’t realize all of the mistakes he has made as a businessman. Washington, D.C., is not a type of Wall Street or anything for him to lose money or make some reckless decisions that would put our country into a deeper hole that we are already into, and also getting multiple things done within the nation’s capital takes more than a huge personality and a strong will. If Donald Trump is elected to be our president, he’ll have to quickly learn how to deal with his Democratic associates in the House of Representatives and Senate. He’ll also have to get used to the pace of government because there are moments when things can accelerate pretty quickly and also where things can move extremely slow at times. He’ll also have to get used to giving speeches on topics he may not be interested in, especially when it comes to conversations
