How Has Population Growth Impacted The Environment

Environment refers to the world around us. Environment makes up atmosphere or background against which someone or something is seen. The environment may refer to the actual physical surroundings or to the cultural background factors around life (Merriam-Webster). Environment is the natural world in which people, animals and plants live. From a small world environment of early man to a world of limitless possibilities in today’s society, the environment has played a distinct role in the development man. In history we have seen many environmental changes. In each of the above definitions, it is understood that the environment has been shaped by society. How our environment affects us has greatly changed over time.

Forest loss is directly-associated with human population growth. In 1921 human population was 25. 13 crores and forests cover was 104.05 million hectares. By 1989, forests cover reduced to 64.01 m ha, while human population in 1991 reached to 84.39 crores.

Climate is consistent behavior of temperature, precipitation, humidity, atmospheric pressure and other related environmental factors. Around the globe, temperature a re climbing, sea levels are rising, and season are changing, which means that climate change is transforming our Earth. Climate change indicates negative consequences on the impact to humanity and on the factors of the climate system. By climate change the most endangered is atmosphere, because it changes the composition of uncontrolled combustion of fossil fuels. Due this, layer of greenhouse gasses around the Earth becomes more ticker, which makes the Earth warmer.

Changes in climate have affected the growth of crops. Particularly climate change has increased the amount precipitation fall in North Dakota.

Economic growth and the use of environmental resources go hand in hand. No country or economy will be able to sustain economic growth without using the natural resources available in the environment. The constant need for resources is the fuel for economic growth and any country going through a heightened level of economic activity tends to use more resources from the environment.

Human impacts affect the environment in numerous ways, by increasing water, air, and soil  pollution, and increase greenhouse gases in the atmosphere causing global warming, because more energy is trapped in the climate system.

This article is about the U.S. overpopulation and its effects on the environment. Our population grows by 285 people per hour. With this increase of 2,500,000 people per year our renewable resources are limited. The need for urbanization is depleting the land needed for growing food and the U.S. consumption of energy is continually rising. As a result, the population growth will contribute to more pollution, overcrowding, loss of open land, and the death of many species. Some of our much needed lakes and rivers are slowly evaporating, which means a limited supply of water for our nation.

Ways in which humans had affected the environment in my area was by dumping drums containing paints and burying paint thinners and many other solvents into the landfill which worsened the grounds and soils of the area. The conditions though in this environment are under control and do not show any high signs of exposures to humans or creatures, meaning they have a low risk of being affected. The only actual organisms that were harmed but only in small portions included shrubs and trees in the wetlands. The site came to be polluted because of the groundwaters underneath the site, which had been contaminated by pollutants leaching from the landfills. Think about a sign that says EARTH Max Capacity 10 billion. Based on what they have the human population plans out parties. They have a lack of space and resources. Anyone who would plan these parties would have to take in account for the amount of people that would have to scrunch in with each other, and how many people would not have enough food to last the party. There are many kinds of environment: the physical environment often thought of as nature, psychological environments built out of human interactions, and political environments rife with manipulation and posturing. While there are some obvious effects that large human populations would have on the natural environment, there are also less evident psychological and political ramifications. Thus, overpopulation is today's most pressing environmental issue.
