Did you know that children today learn about things that some don’t even think you would know at that age? In the beginning , people thought that if they got sick, it was a punishment from God. Thanks to scientific advancement throughout the years, we know that sickness is from germs and we can cure it by taking medicine or antibiotics. Scientific knowledge has changed over time through improved access to information, changes in society, and new discoveries. One factor that changes scientific knowledge is improved access to information. In the past, most thought that eating white bread and bacon is considered a healthy diet. Over time, Scientific knowledge got better and individuals in this time period know that enough certain foods can be an exceptional diet. “The Obama administration is about to ditch the food pyramid, the symbol of healthy eating for the last two decades. In its place officials are dishing up simple plate-shaped symbol, sliced into wedges for the basic food groups and half-filled with fruits and vegetables” (Source 2).
