I started playing soccer when I was eight years old. I was first introduced to soccer at a YMCA day camp and fell in love with it instantly. This camp played soccer a bit differently they had all the same rules and regulations, but played it on black top. I immediately wanted to dive into the sport and learn everything I could about it. I was taught soccer by being shown how to do it at a league called NASA (National American Soccer Association). Here I was taught all the parts that make up soccer and how to use the right techniques to make mold me into how I play today.
Soccer is a game with many key components inside it. The most commonly known rule is you can not touch the ball with your hands except if you are the goalie, which is the player who tries to block the goals from going into your teams goal. There are other components such as dribbling, passing, and shooting all this comes down to knowing how to kick the ball. Since only one player can use their hands that means the remaining ten teammates can only use their feet, head, and chest to move the ball. I am going to be focusing on the

I still want to use the inside of my foot, but more towards the top slightly. This allows me to get under the ball more which is exactly what you want when chipping the soccer ball. The purpose of chipping is to get the ball up in the air. I often used this to score in games as well as many other fellow soccer people use it as a technique for scoring too. When kicking the ball for a chip I use a swiping motion so that I can get underneath the ball and pop the ball up to get a good chip. When I am underneath the soccer ball I am also tilting my foot at the same time to help with getting the ball up. Combining all these steps sounds really easy talking about it, but it took me a while to it get down correctly. Anything is doable as long as you're willing to put in the hard

The 1st step is step back a few steps like about 4. Step 2 and this is optional is to look up when you are about to strike the ball this is for to see where the goal is and where you're going to aim.

The first and maybe the most important step is where you make contact with the ball and where on your foot you strike the ball. The part of your foot that you should kick the ball with is the frontal part of your instep and you need to kick the ball on the outside edge and in the middle of the y-axis.
Take a good touch. Having a good touch is a great step to controlling the ball. This gives you the ability to put the ball a couple of feet ahead of you which helps you kick the ball in one step. You can touch the ball with inside, sole outside or with the laces of your foot.
When I was about 13 I started playing soccer and I continued playing until well into my 30's. I started in AYSO, like most kids, and then played all four years of high school. After High School I continued to play on club teams, in indoor soccer leagues and friendly pick up games. I stopped playing

Passing is one of the most fundamental skills in soccer, as it is how you move the ball from yourself to another teammate. For a short basic pass, you will turn your foot 90 degrees to the outside and swing your leg so that the inside of your leg makes contact. If you want to send the ball farther, you will swing your leg with more power and aim for the lower half of the ball, to pop it into the air and use the inside of your
One of the most important soccer skills that a player can develop is the ability to quickly change direction and get a shot on goal. For this training drill 4 cones are set up in a zigzag shape outside of a eighteen yard box and the player has to sprint from the end to the first cone and cut the ball around the cone. He has to dribble around the rest of the cones, making short, quick cuts with the insides and outsides of the feet. After the last cone, the player has to cut the ball towards the goal and take a shot. This drill will help develop dribbling, ball control, and shooting
Most people who have played soccer for several years are comfortable kicking the ball with the inside of their dominant foot. Even some experienced players, though, are less comfortable with other foot skills, including volleying, kicking the ball with the outside of their foot, and using their non-dominant foot. Luckily, there are several things coaches can do to help their players become more comfortable with these skills.

I was first taught how to play at the age of five and I developed a wholehearted passion for the sport from that point forward. With my passion I was able to develop into an exceptional player, ultimately leading to my position as a soccer coach for a non-profitable organization called OSC, the Oakville Soccer Club.
