Thanksgiving is one of my favorite part about fall. I love the family gathering, each year it gets better and bigger. Another reason I love thanksgiving is the food. My mom is the best cook ever; each year she cooks thanksgiving dinner for everybody. Lastly, I love being thankful for everything in my life. However, I really enjoy thanksgiving because of the family gathering, the thanksgiving food, and being thankful for everything in my life. One of my favorite things about thanksgiving is the amazing family gathering we have each year. I love spending quality time with my family. Each year we take a vote on which board game we want to play. For example, last year we it was between Monopoly or Jenga. Each person in the family took a vote and monopoly had the most votes. So we got into teams and played monopoly till it was time to eat. Another reason why I love thanksgiving is that I get to see my aunts and uncles that do not live in Texas. Two of my aunts live in San Antonio and my uncle lives in Iowa. They usually come couple day before thanksgiving so we have more time with each other. Finally, the best part about thanksgiving is spending time with my close friends and family. Since my aunts come couple days before …show more content…
My mom makes the best turkey ever. She buys it at least a week before thanksgiving. First, she marinates the turkey a day before with her special mix of sauces and spices. Then, the next day she stuffs and cooks it for a couple hours. Every year it comes out juicy and full of flavor. Also, she makes her famous Mediterranean rice, she cooks it about an hour before its time to eat. She adds her own mix of spices, then when it’s done and ready to be served, she adds peas, carrots and roasted pine nuts. I look forward to thanksgiving each year because my mom makes the most delicious turkey and her famous Mediterranean
Thanksgiving is a holiday that is celebrated in America, but it has a fairly dark history to what most people know. Most people know that the Pilgrims came over to America on a boat called the mayflower and made friends with the Native Americans then they celebrated it and made this holiday. While this is somewhat true there is more to it than that. For example the Pilgrims may have came on a boat called the Mayflower, but it wasn’t to make friends with the Native Americans but to spread
My favorite holiday is Halloween! I like it because I get to go get my costume and I also like it because the Halloween store had millions of costumes covering every square inch of the store. I also love to go through the store trying masks on and taking funny pictures in them. While we're are in the to the Halloween store my brother and I are talking to each other and seeing what we're gonna wear while we're trick or treating, further on in the night we will go to a party and we will go get candy. My favorite part of Halloween if filling my stomach with all the food, goodies, and candy filling up my stomach. also this year we were planning to trick or treating at the gncc or more known as the

Thanksgiving break is just around the corner and I can’t wait to be with my family for the holiday. My family and cousins are all coming into town, so it should be a great Thanksgiving Day. There is nothing like being with your whole family cracking jokes at each other and eating delicious food. I enjoy cooking
Why do people forget about Thanksgiving? It is only one of the best holidays in the world. You can eat till you can’t walk. Plus on the flip-side you get to watch Matthew Stafford and the Lions lose. My family loves foods especially desserts. We eat pumpkin, pie, apple pie, pecan pie, cheesecake, and pumpkin bars. That’s just to name some of the desserts on my table. But we also have basics. Turkey, ham, mashed potatoes, and dinner rolls. But we also have some wacky traditions. Almost every Thanksgiving we go out and shoot guns. That’s why my family doesn’t forget thanksgiving. You shouldn’t forget Thanksgiving Either. It’s only once a year, so don’t forget about it. You spend all day with your family and give thanks for everything they’ve

Imagine the moist, golden brown steaming turkey being set right in front of someone on the dining table; they lick their lips as if they can taste it. Many people have turkey on some holidays such as Thanksgiving. To some, it is like a feast. Thanksgiving is a holiday when the whole family gets together and feast. In my family this is when all of my family members come together. The thing about my family is that we are like a broken family. Everyone doesn’t get along. So that causes a lot of problems on the table. My family is also outspoken and they like to start trouble. So that’s when the arguments start.
I spend my Thanksgiving going to my grandma and grandpas house and have a great lunch. Most of the time we have turkey and lamb, corn and bread, and coleslaw .Then I go to my other grandmas and grandpas house and we eat a delicious dinner. It’s not very fun but, I love seeing my cousins and my niece who is a
What does Thanksgiving mean to me? It would be dishonest of me to say that it is a time where I get to express what or who I am thankful for in my life. I do not think of it as a holiday where I am allowed to eat until I pass out either. In reality, Thanksgiving means time with my family. I do not just mean my parents and my siblings, I mean my whole family. I absolutely adore the fact that I have such an enormous family. Everyone comes home to my grandmother’s house on both sides of the family. Luckily, both of my grandmothers live within a five mile radius of each other. This means, after I spend time with my father’s side of the family, I can drive a couple of minutes to spend a bit of time with my mother’s side of the family. This is the
Thanksgiving is a time to give thanks for all of our rights and the things that we have. We are very thankful to come home every day to a nice home with food and water, some people don’t have the nice things that we have. The rights that I am thankful for as a citizen of this country are the freedom of religion and the freedom of speech.

Walking out of the front door sights of yellow, orange, and bright red autumn leaves flow in the wind like tiny dancers.
