An example of an epic poem is, Beowulf. The author of the epic poem is unknown. An epic hero is a brave and noble character in an epic poem. In the poem, Beowulf, the character Beowulf is an epic hero. One characteristic that makes Beowulf an epic hero is that he is brave. When he fights Grendel he doesn’t use any weapons. He claims to fear no one. I would definitely experience some fear if I encountered some of the monsters that Beowulf did. Beowulf fights his battles alone.
