How Is King Arthur Better Than The Movie

The novel of The Outsiders is better than the movie. The novel gives more vivid details than the movie does. Even though the movie shows actual image, the novel lets you have your own image of what’s going on. The movie did not show the part where Ponyboy was getting jump. That is where most of the conflicts started. It also didn’t show the part where they were at the court, which is a really important part in The Outsiders. The feeling and tension are more intense in the novel than it is in the movie. Over all, the movie is not better than the novel.

The book is better because it gives more excitement and emotion. The book just explains each of the events in great detail. I don’t know about other people, but for me the more information there is, the more I understand it. And in the movie of “The Outsiders”, it does not really say much about what’s going on. For instance, when Johnny dies, in the movie, Ponyboy goes home but it does not tell how long he had been out. In the book, Pony is walking home from the hospital and a man asked him if he wanted a ride (Hinton 151). Though others might think that the movie is better because it visualizes the events that are happening. But, even though it envisions what the book tells about does not mean that it is one hundred percent better.

A minor difference between the movie and the book was concerning the scene about Sir Henry going to the moor. In the book he was pretty upset that people were trying to keep him from going there, but in the movie he showed the least bit of emotion. This was not a major impact on the story but it definitely added character to Sir Henry. In the movie Sir Henry was somewhat timid and in the book that scene showed he was not afraid to stand up for himself.

Comparing the book to the movie you can clearly tell what certain things are different. For example, Sydelle Pulaski worked for Mr. Westing in the movie but only talked over the intercom. This not only caused a lot of drama but more depth to the plot. Also, Crow didn’t go to jail but they did talk about most of the consequences of her going to jail. This made a little bit more serious and emotional instead of just letting it go.

I didn’t pick the book over the movie because I think books are boring. When you are watching the movie you don’t have to use your brain that much. When I’m watching a movie about any type of genre that has a book that goes with it, I usually ask questions to myself (in my head) about

Another major difference between the book and movie is the traits and actions taken by the characters. One example is Alice Kinnian. In the story, she is depicted as a quiet, non-aggressive person, but in the movie she is very much the opposite in character. For one, she never really made a move towards Charly, however, in the movie, she is the more aggressive between the two. Also, towards the end of the movie, Alice asked Charly to marry her and that never even happened in the novel at all. Charly is another character who is given different traits and actions in the movie then the book. In the book, he is a kind, warm-hearted man who couldn’t harm a fly. Believe it or not in the movie Charly tried to sexually assault Alice. In the book he never ever would have tried to do such a horrible thing to Alice. Also, he got very upset when he found out that he failed one of the tests given to him at the laboratory. He could have cared less if he failed in the book. Charly’s family is something else that was never mentioned in the movie, and it’s probably the most important difference of them all. It is the most important because of the fact that when Charly went to visit his family, it brought to him a great deal of happiness
