Victoria Kennedy was born into a well known political family. She grew up making very honorable A’s. Before college, she went to a private school, but later attended school at Tulane, University for law. After college, she moved to Chicago for her work as a clerk. Victoria marries Grier Raclin, they moved to Washington D.C. and had two children; but after 9 years of marriage they divorced. In July of 1992 she married Ted Kennedy. They were one of Washington D.C.’s best known couples. A year after her husband diagnosed with a brain tumor he died of brain cancer. Her career began as she worked at the Children’s Defense Fund (1973) (Baird, 2016). In the fall of 1974 “she became a faculty member of the University of Arkansas Law School in Fayetteville” (“Hilary Clinton Biography”, 2016). She was later married in 1975 to Bill Clinton, a fellow Yale graduate who would later become the 42nd President of the United States, and has a daughter, Chelsea Victoria Clinton was born in 1980 (“Hilary Clinton Biography”, 2016). As time passed on Hillary became the First Lady of Arkansas (1979-1981, 1983-1992) while she chaired the Arkansas Educational Standards Committee; co-founded the Arkansas Advocates for Children and Families; and served on the boards of the Arkansas Children’s Hospital, Arkansas Legal Services, and the Children’s Defense Fund (“Hilary Clinton Biography”, 2016). Kennedy came from a line of businessmen and politicians, so it only fit that he would follow. His father, Joseph Sr. Kennedy, had very high expectations for his family of 7 children. John was not always the best student in school, but he was clever and enjoyed history and English. He entered into Harvard University in 1936 and played football. Kennedy’s father was appointed United States Ambassador to England in 1937, and because of this, John became very interested in politics and world affairs.1 After graduating from Harvard, JFK entered the military and became a Lieutenant. He started to speak out about the war in Vietnam. When Ted Kennedy heard about the political corruption that was growing in South Vietnam, he had to find a way to end it. Ted Kennedy started to debate about the poor military drafting and how the United States was failing the many victims hurting from the war. The activities they loved doing in Hyannis were fishing, swimming, sailing, and touch football. All of the Kennedy boys were athletic and competitive. The oldest Joseph Kennedy always instigated fights between the youngs boys. Jack was the most athletic of all the Kennedy boys. Jack excelled at Tennis, Football, Basketball, and Golf. All of the boys went to the top boarding school, Choate Academy. Jack also excelled in football, but a back injury ended his life in sports.
