This research paper discusses leadership (Chapter 12) in my organization. My business issue is leading an organization with people to carry out tasks. My research is based on my work-related experience (direct observation). My business issue will analyze two core concepts related to the dimensions of employee-related and production-oriented leaders. Background With a big picture view, vision, or goal, a leader conveys their goals, and influences and inspires their team members to overcome obstacles (Robbins & Judge, 2009, p. 385). In a dynamic world, leadership requires adapting to the environment and coping with change (Robbins & Judge, 2009, p. 385). Likewise, employee-related leaders help in the development of workers by providing technical training and administrative support (Rowold et al., 2015, p. 143). With 230 aircraft maintenance technicians, my organization has employee-related team leaders that help workers through an array of concerns such as pay problems, training deficiencies, and personal problems. These personnel issues can reduce one’s attention and interfere with aircraft maintenance. Comparable to consideration, an employee-related leader can be friendly, approachable, and conveys gratitude (Robbins & Judge, 2009, p. 389). This attribute is vital when talking, engaging, and counseling workers experiencing family or marital challenges, interpersonal problems, financial issues, or disciplinary concerns. In a dynamic environment, organization employee-related leaders must be flexible accommodate people to make them more effective organizational members (Fischer, n.d., s. 7). By emphasizing interpersonal relationships, employee-related leaders take care of the workers to create greater organizational satisfaction and higher productivity (Robbins & Judge, 2009, p. 390; Stretch, 2009, s. 5).
