Did you know that sports cars are just as safe as every other car on the road. You may think sports cars are too fast, but they are made to be that way. You might have heard that sports cars are dangerous, but a car is a car, there just about as safe as every other car. Sports cars can be quite low, but that's for a reason it even helps with safety. The one driving the car gives it a bad reputation. Sports cars are not as dangerous as you may think. Sports cars aren’t too fast. Sports cars are made to drive fast, either to compete against other brands or to one up their last generation. Long gears require powerful motors to be as fast a possible. Sports cars are made to be driven fast and thrown around corners. Sports cars come with a …show more content…
When a car is low to the ground at high speeds it creates a “vacuum” under the car to hold it down. When you got fast around a corner the low center of gravity help you go around it faster and not flip over. When the car is low it has better aerodynamics which can help MPG and better handling. The higher the car the more lift it has which makes it more dangerous and handle worse. The C7 Corvette has two different stages for suspension height, they raise the suspension one inch for shipping, you can lower the car when you get it. Not paying attention and showing off will more than likely be the drivers fault. Some people might say that Paul Walker died because he wasn't paying attention. He didn't die because of the car, he died because the guy driving the car was speeding and not paying attention. And the Porsche Carrera GT isn't even a sports car it’s a supercar. The Ford Mustang comes with a reckless driving monitor. Sports cars are not as life threatening as you may assume. Sports cars are fast and fun, but completely practical for everyday use. The safety within a sports car is extraordinary. Although sports cars are low, it might save your life someday. The one driving the car makes it unsafe. The next time you go looking for a car don’t think that sports cars aren’t viable
Comfort, when most people think of older sports cars, comfort is not one of the things that come to mind. Small, no top, hard to steer, loud, these are the things that older cars such as the first generation Corvettes, the Porsche 550 Spyder, known as the car
No matter the situation there is no reason for someone to be speeding. Only in emergencies and you should have on your emergency lights to avoid trouble. Many people forget what they are doing, however that should never happen. When you are driving you should always be aware of your surroundings and you should be alert at all times and ready for anything to happen. In order to do this you need to be going at an appropriate speed and be prepared to stop for anything that may occur to you or any others while driving. I have learned in this experience that speeding is not something that you should take lightly and worry about it when you actually get caught or when something awful happens. It is not worth losing your license, money, or even someone’s life. There is no excuse for speeding and it is no one’s fault except your own. I am very disappointed in myself because I have been raised to follow the rules and always do the right thing no matter the consequences, and I was taught to always drive safe and do not drive faster than I need to. I never need to drive fast because nothing is more important than the lives of
Even though football is not the safest sport, that does not mean it is too dangerous to ever play again.
old muscle cars had carbureted engines and were built specifically to be fast and to be loud along
The intricacies that are involved in turning a regular car into a “Street Racer” are many; and racers pour their souls into these magnificent machines. After seeing “the Fast and the Furious” many people have or wanted to become involved in street racing. They do not realize that this is a sport that takes knowledge, hard work, and nerve. Many of these racers have spent their lives under a car, learning the trade and improving upon it. As I have learned, this is not just a hobby; it is a way of life.
Like the Mustang GT, the Camaro SS has a huge fuel-injected V-8. The engines on each of these living beasts, pump out well over 250 horsepower. Both muscle cars have excellent 0-60 times in the five-second range and with quarter mile times within the fourteen-second range, give or take a second. There are drawbacks to every good thing. The Camaro and Mustang are primarily two seaters with minimal room in the back for an adult. Children are perfect fits, although adults can ride in the back, it makes for a very cramped ride. Both of the muscle cars are excellent examples of competitive pricing, with the Mustang GT retailing for $25,140 and the Camaro for $29,656. This just goes to show that you don't need to spend more than $75,000 for a top of the line sports car. The Camaro and Mustang out perform some of their more expensive brother and sisters like the Viper.
There are many arguments for and against auto racing actually being a sport. To understand this argument one needs to know what type of racing people are saying is a sport. Auto racing has been around as long as there have been automobiles. Every teenager, whether they admit it or not has raced. This type of racing however is not a sport if you ask me; this type of racing is known as street racing. On this type of racing people get together and race their suit up cars and see who is faster. There is no stress on the body, and not any practice needed to participate in this. This is one of the main reasons that most people believe that auto racing is not a
The cars also have safety features. If the car happens to be turned around backwards flaps come up to slow the car down. Not only do they slow the car down but the generate down force to keep the car on the road. Along with the Roof Flaps the car also have a Roof Hatch. The roof hatch is used to make a quick roof escape from the car. It goes to show that Nascar has thought of everything.
Simms makes an important move, “1.2 million people across the world are killed in road crashes each year and 50 million injured” (qtd. in Simms 542). This fact shows that Simms acknowledges that car crashes result in many deaths a year; however SUV’s by almost any measurements, are more dangerous than cars. Next Simms provides more supporting facts. “People driving or riding in a sport utility vehicle in 2003 were nearly 11 percent more likely to die in an accident than people in cars” (qtd. in Simms 542). Simms also states that due to the size of an SUV, they suffer from greater rear view blind spots. Which he stated may account for the number of parents who killed their children by running over them. These strong facts speak for themselves; and bring an emotional appeal to the reader. A child dying in any circumstance promotes sadness.
Football is often labeled as a dangerous, unsafe sport, but there are many good things that come along with playing football. In the past two weeks I have learned about the risks that accompany football. Many kids suffer with concussions and face injuries from the sport, which scares many people away. But, despite the risks and the unsafe label, I would allow my child to play football because it promotes health, builds friendships, and helps gain toughness.
When you hear the word football what do you think of ? Some people think that it dangerous because you can get injured. But I think that it is safe because they are making safer ways to play football. It is also safe because they are making safer equipment to play in. They also get trained to tackle so that they don’t hurt the other players on purpose.
Simply not paying attention to other motorist of the road can give way for an accident it is important to heed to all warnings and cautions of the road to ensure safety and well-being for any and all passenger or pedestrians on the road or not only will you be paying a ticket or fine but possibly some medical bills due to a careless at fault mistake through reckless
The average driver doesn’t think about what keeps their car moving or what keeps them on the road, but that’s because they don’t have to. The average driver doesn’t have to worry about having enough downforce to keep them on the road or if they will reach the adhesive limit of their car’s tires around a turn. These are the things are the car designers, professional drivers, racing pit crews, serious sports car owners, and physicist think about. Physics are an important part of every sports and racing car design. The stylish curves and ground effects on sports cars are usually there not just for form but function as well allowing you to go speeds over 140 mph in most serious sports cars and remain on the road and in
Along with accidents not only comes a little headache or a broken bone, but injuries that stay with you forever such as whiplash and brain damage. Most brain damage incidents occur when you are involved in a side impact collision and the side of your head hits the glass (brain injury). Side impact airbags are just one of the many ways in which this type of life threatening injury can be avoided (whiplash). There is also whiplash, which hurls your head violently, and usually results in long term disability. Since whiplash is so hard to avoid, it can only be avoided by reducing the number of accidents on the streets. Also one of the most painful and most traumatizing injuries that we encounter in accidents are bone fractures, which occur in 65% of all accidents (Bush 11). So in turn by making these cars safer we can all avoid these painful, traumatizing, life-threatening injuries.
Formula one is the fastest racing car in the world. It is called the greatest car show in the world. Formula one has a great influence on the people. Millions of people sit in front of the TV set or around the circuit and watch the race. The drivers are often called kings of speed and they show their ability to drive fast every second week of the season.
