In this case, the road less traveled led to fame and success for Robert Frost. Robert Frost was a famous American poet in the mid 1900's and he is an inspiration to poets today. His childhood affected his poetry for a number of different reasons and with all the complications, having children, it's amazing he still had the career he did. His poetry effected him and many others to this day. Robert Frost's life and career is a help to all aspiring poets.

Robert Frosts childhood was a motivation for his future poems. "His mother began teaching him reading, writing, and arithmetic at home" (Caravantes 20). His father gambled and drank often and he didn't feel like going to school so his mother taught him at home instead as said in the quote above. Later on he went to high school and played on the baseball team, but he never liked going to school. He was a rebel most of the time and didn't put much time in his writing. He married Elinor on December 19, 1895, but many did not approve. "Not everyone believed in Frost. Elinor's father did not approve of her marriage” (Caravantes 24). They had five children together, however all but one died due to many different causes. The tragedy caused to Frost was an encouragement to many, since he still wrote poems. Robert Frost published many books consisting of many different poems. His fist book A Boy Will was published in 1913 and Mountain Interval was his third and most famous book published in 1916.
