Thomas Didymus is the best saint out of all the saints that have lived on this planet. For one thing, Thomas was one of Jesus’s most loyal disciples. And because he was a disciple of Jesus, he was one of the few saints to witness the miracles of God’s only child and learn from him. Additionally, he was a missionary in South Asia to dedicate his life to spread the Word of God there. As seen by the preceding information, I can say that Saint Thomas is the best saint who ever lived.
If Saint Thomas isn’t recognized as the greatest saint, he should at least be in the Top 12 List, as does the rest of Jesus’s 11 disciples. But what I think what makes him Number 1 is that he was more eager to learn from Jesus’s teachings than any other of Jesus’s disciples. And I also esteem him for his curiosity and his habit for questioning clarity when Jesus does his teachings and parables. In The Last Supper, John 14:1-5 Jesus foretells his death and his ascension into heaven along with his disciples, including Thomas. It reads, “Jesus said to his disciples ‘Don’t be worried! Have faith in God and have faith in me. There are many rooms in my Father’s house. I wouldn’t tell you this, unless it was true. I am going there to prepare a place for each of you. After I have done this, I will come back and take you with me. Then we will be together. You know the way to where I’m going.’ Thomas said, ‘Lord we don’t even know where you are going! How will we know the way?’ I think Thomas is the guy who
I chose Saint Raphael the Archangel as my confirmation saint. I chose this saint because this is the first saint I learned about. I always looked upon this saint as my favorite saint because of his strong relationship with God and because I knew this saint the longest. I also chose this saint because his name means "God Heals." Saint Raphael the Archangel had an interesting life in faith and a strong relationship with God. Most people know this saint because he is one of the seven archangels and a part of the group of three archangels talked about in the Bible.
Do you love animals and nature? Do you want to make trees plentiful again? Do you want to adopt all the puppies and kittens when you walk into the shelter? Well do I have a saint for you!
Included in the 10 most influential Christians of the 20th century alongside Karl Barth, Pope John XXIII, Martin Luther King Jr, and Billy Graham, the Christian History magazine named him "the atheist scholar who became an Anglican, an apologist, and a ‘patron saint’ of Christians everywhere." He was also dubbed as an “apostle to the skeptics” because he resolutely answered frequent objections individuals had when it came to accepting Christ as their Savior (christianodyssey.com).
The St Marys Saints caused a minor upset when they toppled the Peninsula Seagulls 38-22 in the Sydney Shield second Qualifying Final at Campbelltown Stadium last Sunday.
Sainthood is defined as someone whose goodness outweighs the sins that they made. But according to Gregory Orfalea, and Tony Platt, their perspective on receiving Sainthood rights is looked at in different ways. In the first article by Gregory Orfalea, he discusses his hopes for Father Serra to receive the entitlement, and to, “overlook such flaws”. In the other hand, Tony Platt has made his opposing arguments. Tony Platt believed that Father Serra should not be canonized because that would be, “reinforcing selective, racist history…” and take offense to Native Americans. With the definition of sainthood being defined as the goodness exceeding the sins, I believe that father Serra does not meet these standards.
Situated in the diverse city of Houston and the only Catholic university in the city, I believe that the University of St. Thomas will provide me with innumerable opportunities to study communications and psychology, as well as prepare me for graduate studies in dance movement therapy, which is my ultimate career goal. St. Thomas seems like a perfect fit for me, especially the smaller class sizes and the individualized attention students receive. I believe that I will be able to succeed there as a student, thriving alongside like-minded students and learning from intelligent professors. I particularly love St. Thomas because of it’s affiliation with the Roman Catholic Church, a religion I have actively been involved with my whole life. Growing up and in the Chicago area, I was privileged to attend a Catholic school. Faith, service, and life’s purpose are a few of the topics I enjoyed learning and discovering. Graduating
The saint I have chosen for Confirmation is Saint Catherine of Siena. Her feast day is April 29th. She is a patron saint of Italy, bodily ills, miscarriages, people judged for their piety, sexual temptation, sick people, nurses, and fire prevention. Saint Catherine of Siena even helped the poor and assisted the United States becoming peaceful. The reason I have chosen her is because when I’m older, I want to help people by becoming a nurse or something of that field, just like her.
I am applying to the University of St. Thomas because of the reputation that the university has as an outstanding Business school. The university has a lot of resources like the mentorship program and global experience that can help me reach my highest potential. I believe that i am a great candidate for admission into your school.
Saint Francis was one of the most selfless people to live. Francis gave up his rich and lavish life style to live as Jesus Christ did. There are many qualities that Saint Francis possessed that I can connect to a few people I know, but the few that I am going to be relating to my life would be his generosity, how prayerful he was and his humbleness. I believe that two of my close friends possess qualities that make them like Francis.

The greatest Christian Apologist and martyr, in the turn of the second century, who stood firm in defending the belief of Christianity, was the great philosopher and early Christian apologist and martyr - Justin Martyr. Justin Martyr (100-165CE), was born in Samaria, near Jacob’s well, around turn of the century in modern day Palestine. Justin was a Gentile and well educated, who has traveled extensively in search for the life’s meaning in the philosophies of his day.
In “Religious Experiences”, Saint Teresa argued that her two experiences were valid because she was conscious of the lord’s presence. In this paper, I will be exploring the two religious experiences Saint Teresa encountered while analyzing the argument about the epistemic value the experiences could possibly have.
Saint Thomas Aquinas (1225 – 1274) was a Dominican catholic priest. Aquinas can be considered to be one of the most
Saint Peter was never mentioned in any Time Magazine articles, but I think he deserves to be given some credit. Peter made the world a better place. He helped spread Christian Faith all over the world, with the help of the other eleven disciples. Only someone with a huge amount of commitment and initiative would do such a great feat. Saint Peter affected all the people around him very positively. He filled people with influence and encouragement, even when people judged him.
The life of Saint Anthony was vividly pictured in the narration of his life by no other person than St. Athanasius. In St. Athanasius’ description of St. Anthony, he explored all areas where St. Anthony was modeled as a saint. In light of this, the thesis for this essay states that classical genres to which St. Athanasius modelled the Life of St. Anthony is autobiography/biography, mythology and adventures.
