Solar power has many different applications for all nations around the world. As you 've read before it can be used to create electricity for homes, businesses, etc. or in order to power different machines, facilities, and household items that we use every day. For our project we will be looking at using it in order to help the nation of Somalia, more specifically we will be looking at Mogadishu which is the capital of Somalia. The area is on the Horn of Africa and to the west of the Indian Ocean. The area is made of mostly plains and highlands giving it a lot of potential to create solar energy. In this area on average on a clear day it will produce about 7 Kilowatts of energy making it a very good place for solar panels to be able to create electricity to run things. Somali has recently come under much political unrest forcing a lot of people to flee from the country and a lot more to have to stay and suffer from it. By creating something that is regenerative and cannot be limited because of lack of resources in order for politicians to try to keep in charge it 's giving a needed break the Somalians who were unable to escape the country.
