Teleportation and How it Will Affect the Human Body
"Beam me up Scotty." You may know what movie this is from. Star Trek right? But teleportation isn't all of the Star Trek fun you think it is. Teleportation does not exist yet, but when (or if) it ever does, it can actually be pretty scary. What is teleportation? How will it work? What are the theories about it? How can it be harmful? To find out, you have some reading to do.
Teleportation is the theoretical transfer of matter or energy from one point to another without traversing the physical space between them. It is a common subject in science fiction literature, film, video games, and television. According to the testimony of the bible, teleportation is not new in human experience. In
Definitions: 1- to hold something or someone with your hands, arms, or on your back and transport it, him, or her from one place to another
The foundational concept of the biomechanical approach has its roots in the structural arrangement of the human body. It also places emphasis on the functional components of the body system. An occupational therapist analyzes physical demands of expected performances when analyzing activities. The practitioner matches the client’s body function and body structure to physical activity demands before proposing treatment.
D- is the spread of information or and idea through physical human movement from place to place.
73. In virtual space, people in remote locations can hold meetings, share information and files, make plans, and solve problems together.
“She did something that in our society is unspeakable: she kissed a black man” (page 272). It is easy to interpret this character as a villian in To Kill a Mockingbird, but is she honestly a victim? This girl has grown up in poverty, has been beaten, and has had to take care of an entire household. Unfortunately, there is nothing that can be done to change that. She lives a painful lifestyle, and that lifestyle has transformed her into the person she will always be. Mayella Violet Ewell’s important character attributes, mistreated, skeptical, and melodramatic, have forged her into the villain that most people see.
The Internet and space exploration opens doors for humans to expand their knowledge. It is common knowledge to know that the journey to space is not an easy one. It was not until the 1942 that humans were able to develop the technology to send a man-made object into outer space. As a result of the need for space technology many things came to be invented as shown in this passage, “Space exploration has contributed to many diverse aspects of everyday life, from solar panels to implantable heart monitors, from cancer therapy to light‐weight materials, and from water‐purification systems to improved computing systems and to a global search‐and‐rescue system” (nasa.gov). Not only is new technology a beneficial result from space missions but new knowledge and information is now known about the galaxy and more.
Along with the technological advances and new theories of the last century, humans have developed a need to explore beyond the known of the final frontier. This resource of knowledge has led to superstitions and concerns about what could happen if people pursue this want of space exploration. Among these concerns are national finances, the world’s health, and ethical standpoints of what really could be waiting on the other side for those who dare venture into the unknown.
When Star Trek was first released in 1966, teleportation was only a dream. Now a days, people are claiming that future generations as soon as great-grandchildren will be able to teleport with ease. There are, however, many things that Star Trek hasn’t prepared fans for, and although there are many perks to teleportation, people need to weigh in the risk factors as well. The pros may sound promising but, the cons tremendously outweigh them.
Time travel involves moving either forward or backwards in time with the use of a time machine of some kind, especially in movies and books. There have been many great time travel movies over the years. This is a list comprised of just 8 of the best.
In a recent press conference, Donald Trump stated “racism is evil”. How can the leader of one of the most influential countries in the world say something this hypocritical? If all racism is evil, what does that make him?
How long would a “long term” space flight be? According to our records, the longest that human has been off Earth is almost 438 days, and it is the mission operated by Russian space station Mir. (Beings not Made for Space, Kenneth Chang, 2014) Long-term space flight requests that astronauts have to be exposed to the real space environment, which includes microgravity, the significant increase in radiation, variation in temperature and space view. The major impacts that I will be talking about are microgravity and space radiation. Due to these changes of space environment from that of the Earth, astronauts will face the changes on their body and health, some of the changes would be negative. For example, astronauts will see the significant changes in their body; their whole bodies will expand, the mass of their bones and muscles would lose, and some of them might have farsighted eyes. There will also be increase in risk of Alzheimer’s disease, damage in immune system and destroys of microbiomes. To build a better space environment, scientists have been working hard to find out what is causing the health issues and ways to solve them. They have done well-known researches such as “Twins Study” between Mark and Kelly Scott. The latest technology that involved is called artificial gravity; it is considered desirable for long-term space flight as well as human habitat in space.
In the recent century what used to be science fiction is quickly becoming a reality. Things like the space shuttle, super computers and robots are coming out of Hollywood and into the real world. The most recent projection is the space elevator project. It consists of a 62,000 mile long cable elevator to the stars. This project which was previously believed to be impossible and absurd is now on the fast track to success. This recent success can be attributed to both new technological developments and the fact that project barriers are being demolished.
The universe has a beginning. The world had a beginning. A human life has a beginning. They will all inevitably end. But, is killing a child that has yet to experience their life truly the way their beginning should end? In the situation where human lives are weighed against a national economy, which one prevails? This is the conflict that the Chinese government has been struck with.
“ the means of connection between places or people in particular.” Technology by definition is “the application of scientific knowledge for practical purposes, especially in industry,” or “machinery and equipment developed from the application of scientific knowledge.”
Space can be unsafe. In profound space we would kick the bucket immediately unless ensured. Our
