How Texas Revolution Changed My Life Essay

Throughout the camp every Mexican soldier was sound asleep. The entire army was taking a long quiet siesta. The Texian army slowly creeping around the camp waiting for the right time to pounce on the enemy; eventually, the first shot was fired. The once powerful Mexican army were in disarray and were being overwhelmed by the Texian forces. This was the final battle of the Texas revolution, the battle of San Jacinto. The Texas revolution has impacted my life the most out of every American historical event. The revolution was the deciding factor that has allowed me to live a life with more opportunities. The three factors that have changed my life due to the Texas revolution are education opportunities, business opportunities, and the privilege of being a United States citizen. To begin with, the Texas revolution has affected my educational opportunities such as my time at ECHS. The revolution had led to the Texas becoming their own independent and free country. If Texas had not become a free country, they could not eventually join the United States as the 28th state. Since Texas would eventually join the union they would gain the educational reform that would help children in America. Due to Texas joining the union they once again gain all of the reform benefits for businesses preventing the creation of monopolies and other ideals that would hinder small businesses. Without the help of small businesses my family would not be able to own their current business and be successful.. The business would just be another branch of a corporation. The opportunities of each reform given to small businesses and reinforce the their position in our local economy. These are the ways the Texas revolution has impacted me by business
