If you love animals and you want to help animals then a veterinarian may be the job for you.A veterinarian is a doctor for animals. A veterinarian is a person qualified to treat animals. Admission into a veterinarian program is very competitive, and fewer than half of all applicants were accepted back in 2012. This is about what it is to be a veterinarian, how to become a veterinarian and the benefits of being a veterinarian.

A veterinarians examines animals to diagnose their health problems and treat animals for medical conditions. Veterinarians dress wounds, perform surgery on animals and test for and vaccinate against diseases. Veterinarians Operate medical equipment, such as x-ray machines and advise animal owners about general care, medical conditions and treatments.

In order to increase your chances of getting into a veterinarian program you should first earn a bachelors degree, this degree take four years to achieve. A Bachelors degree is science related areas.After you get a undergrad degree you then apply for a veterinarian program. A veterinarian program has 11 stages those stages are 1.Veterinary Office Etiquette and Hospital Procedures, 2.Animal Restraint, 3.Examination Room Procedure, 4.Pharmacy and Pharmacology, 5.Surgical Preparation and Assisting, 6.Small Animal Nursing, 7.Laboratory Procedures, 8.Radiology and Ultrasound Imaging, 9.Career Building, 10. Externship and Pet CPR and First Aid Certification and 11.Final Exam and Graduation.

There are many benefits to becoming a veterinarian. For example when a vet saves an animal’s life or cures the animal of pain or other symptoms, the vet not only restores the pet’s well-being, the vet also restores the well-being of the animal's human companions.
