After I graduate I plan on attending National Park College for their RN to BSN degree program. I wish to do that and gain some field experience before I go back to school to become a Nurse Practitioner. Becoming a Nurse Practitioner has always been a dream of mine and each day I get closer. To stay close to home to attend National Park for the first part of my goals is a definite plus. My end goal is definitely to be a Nurse Practitioner but to also have job security and stability because they do make very good money. I come from a struggling, middle class family with hardworking parents and to be able to provide for them one day as they have done for me is also a future goal of

Have you ever closed your eyes and your dreams painted a miraculous picture that it seemed too good to be true ? I close my eyes and I picture myself with a crisp cotton white lab coat with a burgundy stethoscope draped over my shoulders. The patient in front of me hears the “ clicking” sound of my pen as I scribble a prescription down on my clipboard. My dream is to become a Nurse Practitioner that specializes in Forensics after I graduate with my Bachelor of Nursing degree. In order, for someone to make their dreams come true, they need three key elements which are perseverance, determination and ambition. I posses all of these characteristics so, I know my dreams will come true.

From there, the agency flourished and had seven thousand volunteers in forty-four countries within two years (Neumann). It soon showed it could more than fulfill its purpose, whether it be battling the Cold War by showing the benefits of American capitalism or fostering political relationships with developing countries. Additionally, the Peace Corps gave young adults a gateway to a plethora of experiences that before seemed distant, allowing them to contribute in a non-violent matter and be immersed in exotic cultures. However, the opportunity of the Peace Corps was limited to a select few and, in turn, by having a concentration of extremely dedicated and compassionate people, the agency was able to make its
I heard about Job Corps at a school presentation and thought, “this is what I want to do with my life.” Job Corps will not only benefit me in the short run, but also help me set myself up for the rest of my life. I have so many aspirations: I want to make a name for myself; to give back to the people who gave it all to me: the ones who left it all behind for me to be someone important in life; defy the stereotypes I grew up hearing, and make a difference in this world of ours. In the near future I have so much to accomplish for my own well being as well as to help other people. I want to be able to live my very own American Dream including: being able to buy my own house, one under my own name, as well as purchasing my dream car. I want to start and have a stable career for the rest of my life. Above all, I want to be able to give back to everyone who helped my dream become a reality. I want to give back to my state, so that way more young adults have the same opportunity I had and better themselves. With a stable career I know will be able to constantly pay my taxes, which basically helps fund Job Corps, and that way others also get the opportunity to be

The document 21 Strengths Arising From Military Experience highlights only a few of the ways people have found service to be life-changing. Traits include leadership, teamwork, and responsibility: three of some of the most important life skills required to be successful. The passage From A Father And Son, What It Means To Be A Military Man includes an interview, directed by the NPR Staff, of Mark and Jeremy Pierce. In it, Mark claims, “In the crucible of combat, you will learn more about yourself and the people around you in five minutes ... than you will the rest of your life. It's a tough lesson, and a hard way to learn it, but I wouldn't trade it for the world.” Civic service can be an eye-opening experience for anyone, both young and old. Such an environment will punish those who are not willing to contribute and reward those who will go the extra mile to get something done. It maximizes strengths and brings out the best side of each individual at the same time it nurtures essential traits and eliminates harmful ones. Of course “civic service” is not limited to the armed forces. The Peace Corps include a diverse variety of volunteer services that provide experience just as valuable as the military. Through civic service, the learning of new skills that will be profitable during an assorted number of careers and development of numerous character traits will certainly pay off in the grand scheme
