It takes passion and determination to achieve the dream of becoming an exotic animal vet. Veterinarians can work directly with animals or with a research and development to help understand diseases and try to find cures for them. The journey to becoming a vet is quite lengthy with the schooling and experience. Not only is the route to being a veterinarian lengthy, but it is also exciting due to people achieving their dreams of working with, studying, and providing medical care of these animals. There are also multiple routes people can take once they get their D.V.M. degree. There are many steps to become and exotic animal vet along with there being benefits of interacting with the animals, but there are also high dangers of being with these exotic wild animals.
The career that I want to achieve is a Veterinarian. I want to become a Veterinarian after I graduate college. Want to become that, because I would like to help out animals that are sick and be able to make their owners happy. I would have to go to high school and go to classes to learn about health science. Then, go to college and learn more about science so I will be able to know what is need to become a veterinarian. I will get my degree in college and graduate.
Do you like working with animals? Would you like to care for animals every day? If yes, then a veterinarian is a good job for you! Every single day a veterinarian works with animals and people. A veterinarian makes sure that your animal is healthy and happy. If there was no one to care for your animal, they would get sick and no one would be there to save them. A veterinarian is responsible for saving over 100 lives a year. The best part about being a veterinarian is being rewarded with knowing that you saved many lives. I believe that college is an important aspect to become a thriving veterinarian.

I plan to achieve my goals by working to the best of my abilities, and to participate in programs that will help me gain the knowledge I need in order to become an excellent veterinarian. I have been doing a lot of research into different program through 4H that will help me on my career path and have been applying to these different programs. I have also been researching colleges that I would like to attend, what programs they have to offer and if they would best fit my personality and career
Veterinarians can choose from different specialties for a career path. Even though choosing to specialize in large animal care is less lucrative than becoming a companion animal vet, there are many reasons to still choose it as a career. Unfortunately, there is currently a shortage of large animal veterinarians. There are several factors that contribute to this shortage, including financial, large rural areas and physical challenges. Veterinarians who care for livestock are important for the production of food and any shortages of these veterinarians may have a negative effect on agriculture.
Being a veterinarian has many of hoops that I must jump through, such as; having important features that will help you throughout the career, different job duties depending on what field of being a veterinary you choose, the education I will need, challenges with clients, the pets themselves and an abundance of other things. There are also a great deal of benefits of the this job, which makes it all worth it. Becoming a veterinarian is the best job for me, because I love to be around animals and I love helping them in life.
Animals have played a big part in my life, I have always had some sort of animal ever since I was born. Growing up I've had dogs, hamsters and fish and I have loved all of them deeply. This love for animals has showed me that I want to work with animals for the rest of my life. Becoming a Vet Tech is a great job because I get to see animals all day every day and I get to care and love for them.Vet Techs provide care for all animal's, anywhere from dogs, cats, exotic pets, lab animals and zoo animals. They help animals recover from injury, illness and help maintain animal's overall health. Vet Techs are commonly called ''nurses'' for animals, having the same jobs nurses have but just for animals.
There are six major steps to becoming a licensed Veterinarian: degrees, courses, certifications, testing, veterinary experience and interviews. Once a student has gone through all six steps, then is the student transitioned as a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine.
Ever since I was little the career that has sparked my interest and I want to pursue is veterinary. My father who loves animals has influenced me to be a veterinarian. We have always been close and he has inspired me to go higher in life. My one goal in life is to get my masters degree of veterinary medicine and have my own pet clinic. The university I want to attend and have gotten information about is UC Davis. UC Davis is known for having great majors and one of them is veterinary medicine.
Pursuing college has always been one of my biggest goals to achieve in life. After high school, I will higher my education by attending college. My ultimate goal will be to one day become a veterinarian. The love and compassion I have for animals plays a big role in choosing this course of study. Growing up on a ranch, I am exposed to animals such as horses, cows, dogs, chickens, and rabbits. Tending to the animals and keeping them in good health gives me the experience I need to see if the veterinarian study is fitting for myself. Furthermore, I plan to attend BYU-Idaho which offers a pre vet course that gives students who are seeking to become veterinarians the opportunity to intern at a vet
When becoming a veterinary technician, one of the utmost important steps is to take appropriate courses in high school and college and afterwards get the correct licenses and certifications. For those, each state is a little different in which certifications they require in order to pursue a career as a veterinary technician. Whether you are planning to be a LVT (licensed veterinary technician), RVT (registered veterinary technician) or CVT (certified veterinary technician), depends on which state the tech lives in. New Mexico, along with many other states, currently registers and certifies vet techs, but they do not license them. Throughout most of my life I have had one consistent goal; to become a veterinarian. I have had a continuous and solid passion for animals in all respects. This passion and love has fueled my in striving to achieve the dreams I have for myself after high school. The beginning of this story begins long before high school though.
