How To Protect Kids From Prescription Drug Abuse Prescription drug abuse among kids has become one of the common problems that parents are currently facing. Thousands of families are affected by this kind of abuse each year which has led to illegal drug use, frequent emergency room visits, overdose deaths and an increase in the number of crimes related to drug use. Parents are losing their children at such an alarming rate that not unless parents do something about it to prevent their children from succumbing to such abuse, then the rates would continue to increase.
