We purchased a flight from Dallas, Texas to Cancun, Mexico, however we had a lay over in Mexico City on departing flight as well as returning flight. Flying to Cancun there was no problems but on the returning flight, we stayed in Mexico city for our lay over which I believe was approximately 5 hours, as the airline was boarding and we proceeded to give our boarding pass to ticket agent she proceeded to say that something was wrong with our form that was given to us and informed us we had to go to immigration to have it fixed and to hurry. One of our forms was missing information stated the immigration department. It was extremely frustrating in which no one seemed to want to help us and the language barrier. We had to wait til the bacnk opened
For example, when I came to New York 5 years ago the securities were very strict with Arabic travelers. They were using dogs and hand searches to inspect travelers. Also, I sat for almost 6 hours to pass the immigration line. They were asking me questions about the reasons for why I came to the United States. However, I did not speak English, so, I asked them if they had a translator or my husband may help me to answer questions but they did not accept that.
It was the 11th, the day that we arrived. My dad and my sister had already made it, and it was really late. My flight landed, and so had 16 others. We off of the flight, and headed straight for immigration. Last time we came, immigration took 5 minutes, but this time, it took 45! After the long immigration process, we went to the baggage belt, where we couldn’t find our bags. While we were walking to go and file a complaint, we found one of our bags off of the baggage belt. Others took our bags off of the belt, so we went around the belt to find the bags. After we found the bags, we headed out of the airport. It was 4 am, and as soon as we got home, we went to sleep. We got up at about nine and got ready to go to my aunt and uncle’s 25th anniversary
This story allowed me to see into the thoughts and emotions of a recently immigrated family. I was able to see how difficult it is to find a balance between your old culture and the one you are moving into, which I wasn’t aware was such a struggle. As a reader I was able to understand how the people around me potentially may be feeling, as this story gave me a good view of the emotions they experienced. Canada is a diverse place and now I am able to sympathize to people around me, since many have gone through the struggle of immigrating. Hopefully the story has allowed all readers to also see the challenge of moving to a new place, as some of them may have experienced it themselves and never had anyone understand. As an individual I cannot
I am drawn to the thought that vacationing is a way of making everlasting memories, in addition to encountering many diverse cultures around the world.
Before getting to Tenochtitlan, Cortes arrived at Tlaxcalteca. Tlaxcalteca was a alliance with around 200 towns and no central government. When they first met, the Tlaxcalans greeted them by fighting and the Spanish had several small battles with them. When they were fighting the Spaniards got cornered on the top of a hill, and as Bernal Diaz describes it, they may have lost if one of the elders from Tlaxcala had not persuaded the commander of their army that it may be better to allie with them. Cortes was taken back to the main city of Tlaxcala and made friends with the leaders of the city. He even managed to get four of their leaders to be baptized.
One vacation option to consider is Cancun Mexico, where visitors get to experience a different culture, experience mouth dropping views, and do many types of things. According to Mexico, a World of Its Own, ‘’Cancun has it all for travelers looking to have the vacation of their life.’’ Families that go and visit Cancun can experience jungle tours where people can drive their own speedboat to snorkel on a section of the largest coral reef. Visitors can also experience zip lining where people can go on the highest and longest zip lines that go deep into the jungle. People can also swim with dolphins and the dolphins can give handshakes, give people kisses, and people give them kisses back. One more thing that people can do in Cancun is dead sea
It is the human nature to have a need to build a superior future for oneself and one’s families. In cases where people believe that they are not in a decent place and their future by all accounts is in shambles, they are more willing to take risks and hopefully move to a better point. The same theory applies to the people who are seeking to illegally enter the U.S. Many of those people have been disappointed with the failings and shortcomings of their government. In addition, the expansion of drug cartel in the country and rising violence has people on their knees deep in poverty without any opportunity to earn and thrive. Thus, they see the neighboring country, the U.S., as their

As a migrant and it’s family set out on a long dangerous journey, they must be thinking will we make it across? Will we last through this hard journey or will we not even make it halfway? This journey to cross the U.S. Mexico border is unsafe for these migrants who are in search of a fresh start or a better life. Not only is it hard enough to get through a hot blazing desert but to not have water or the correct resources to get them through is dangerous. They struggle with the lack resources but also the dangerous guidance from coyotes. These migrants think they are ready and prepared but in reality some of them might not even make it to the border. These people are just so concentrated on the dream across the border but some have a rude awaking
According to citizen and immigration Canada statistics, (Immigrating to Canada, 2009), each year, Canada welcomes more than 200,000 new immigrants. It creates a diverse of multiple nationalities. Most immigrants from Europe or their descendants have religious backgrounds which respect universal fraternity. Also the multiculturalism makes Canada a "melting pot" for every member in the "pot". People respect each other and live together peacefully. People with different backgrounds live together peacefully without discrimination.
El Norte, “The North” has been a dream to almost every citizen from Latin America countries that are marginalize and feel rejected by society and their own governments. We hear tales of El Norte were anyone who crosses the border and works hard can save money to send to their families, can eventually afford to buy a car. and then owned a home of their own. When I got the opportunity to move to El Norte, I could not comprehend any of the ambitious people around me said I would be able to attain with my brand new green card. At that time the only thing I could think of is that I would finally be able to spend time with the voice from the other side of the telephone. A voice I was schedule to hear once a week in the neighborhood mini mart run by Sambrano, the owner of the only telephone in town. That voice that will asked me, how school was going? If I behave well and payed attention to my mother and grandfather? I would answer his questions with delight and tell him tales of my older brothers mischievous behaviour towards me. The conversation will always end with a teary voice from the other side, telling me that soon he will be able to see me. I can honestly say I can only recall one memory of my father from my pre-Norte life. My brother Jesus and I playing in with the sand of a small dry stream near our home, we lift our heads up when we hear footsteps approaching, when we recognize the silhouette of the person approaching we ran towards him
My husband and I were traveling home from Rome and our nightmare began when we first went through security. I informed the agent that I had a flat iron in my carry on bag and if I should remove it. I was instructed to leave it in the bag, which I did. I was than informed that my baggage needed to be examined. The agent carelessly removed my entire belongings from my bag, left them on the table informing me not to touch them. She said would return as she walked away. As I waited, another agent came to examine someone else bag. She started pushing all of my belongings out of the way and telling me to remove them. I informed her that the agent told me to wait and not touch them. She continued to push my belongings and called the agent whom responded
Bow when greeting a Mexican woman. Shake hands only if she extends her hand first.
The nightmare began long before I even set foot on the plane. To start, I was traveling from the international airport of Havana,
