Jaren Anderson Period-3B Language Arts 10/19/16 Felipe Felipe is the local police officer in Summit county Ohio. Felipe is out on his daily patrol. He was informed about 3 AWOL unwinds on the loose and that they might be armed and dangerous. They didn’t release much information about what they looked like or what they were wearing though. Officer Felipe knows the danger of AWOL unwinds and has a long history of catching them. He pulls up to the stop sign and waits as he sees high school kids loading a bright yellow school bus. This is normal for his morning patrols. He always has his coffee and donuts for his morning patrols when he has to wait for these buses. Just another normal day out on patrol, Felipe says to himself. No one has come to the door it has been about 10 min since the baby was storked so he just watches and waits to see if anyone comes to the surprise on their front porch. The 3 teenagers just seem to be going to the bus to go to school, but one of them just stares at the baby on the front porch of the house. The oldest boy starts to head right toward the house with the baby. This should be interesting, Felipe says to himself. He rolls down his window and watches intently as the kid get to the front step, by this time a chubby lady has opened the door and seen the baby. The kid just stares at the baby. After some talking between the man and the woman the kids dart to the bus with the baby in hand. This seems a little out of the ordinary I had better go check things out, what is a kid doing with a stroked baby that is not his. Felipe drives up to the side of the kid. “What’s going on here?” Felipe says sternly. “Oh….. well I felt like I should take this baby and take care of it.” Mutters the younger teenage kid. “Ok I hope you know what kind of responsibilities come with something like that.” Felipe tells the kid. “Ok sir thanks.” Says the kid. The kid then runs to the bus along with his other 2 friends.
I conducted a 3rd interview of Corporal Rick Aguiar on February 23th, 2016 at 1608 hours. The interview took place in the Pomona Police Internal Affairs Office and Corporal Aguiar was a subject and no longer a witness. This interview was scheduled due to clarify some issues that were not covered in the prior two interviews. The interview was digitally recorded and a copy of the interview will be kept in the Internal Affairs office for future reference. The following is a summary of the recorded interview of Corporal Rick Aguiar:
On 010/05/2016, I, Chad Agnew, was working as a patrol officer for the Wichita State University Police Department, in Wichita, Sedgwick County, Kansas. At approximately1415 hours, officers were dispatched to the Rhatigan Student Center for a suspicious character. Dispatch notified all officers that they were still gathering more information at the time but the suspicious character was a black male with crutches. They also said the subject was yelling someone had a gun.
On Friday May 6, 2016 from 4:00pm to 12:00 am, I experienced a ride along with Placer County Sheriff deputy Nate Ferguson. Deputy Ferguson has been with the Placer County Sheriff’s department for 1 ½ years. Prior to that, he served as a police officer for 9 years with Citrus Heights Police Department. Deputy Ferguson’s beat for the night was basically The Greens and the surrounding area of Auburn from Dry Creek to Atwood on Hwy 49. The Greens is composed of low income housing, where drugs, exgang members and domestic violence is ramped. Auburn is also home to many transients and those on probation or parole. When AB101 became effective, Placer County probation became inundated with inmates from all over, even as far as Soledad State Prison. For example, last night as we were driving around scanning the surrounding area on Hwy 49 and Bell road, we both noticed a guy walking, wearing a trench coat and looked suspicious, so we stopped, and as deputy Ferguson got out of the vehicle to approach him, the guy kept on walking, in which he was about 50 feet ahead of him. Ferguson then ran, yelling for him to stop, but when he finally caught up to the guy, he was wearing headphones and didn’t hear him yell stop. Deputy Ferguson ran his ID and it came back that the guy was on parole for being a sex offender and was just released from Soledad. I watched Deputy Ferguson search this guy, he went through all of his pockets and up and down his legs
On 10/30/2016 at 0251 hours Ptlm. David Stamets and I were dispatched to the unit block of S. White St. for multiple males in the road fighting. We arrived on scene and I observed three males walking toward Main St. I instructed the males to stop, but they did not comply with my request. The males looked back and continued to walk away. I again gave verbal commands for them to stop, two of the three males stopped, while one continued to walk away. I walked to the two males who stopped while Stamets proceeded in the patrol car to make contact with the third male, who he caught up to.
On Monday, 11/30/2015 at approximately 1755 hours, Officer Lauritzen and I responded to intersection of Holt Blvd and Plum Avenue to assist Sergeant Ortiz to subdue a suspect who was fighting him. Upon arrival, I saw other OPD officers trying to handcuff the suspect, later identified as Kevin Larry. Larry was on his stomach and he was yelling that he did not do anything. Larry was resisting arrest by turning his hip side to side and was trying to pull his hands to the front of his body. Larry was grabbing our handcuffs and he was not letting them go after being told to let go. We told Larry to not resist arrest and stop fighting. He refused and we forcefully pulled his hands from his sides and placed them behind him. We handcuffed him and he
In another situation, a 13-year-old son and his father, Paul Shuey, were the victims of a violent home invasion and requested help from the Canby Police department to assist them. Shuey explains that the invasion involved his ex-wife, who broke into his house in an attempt to beat him in front of his son. When Shuey and his son ran outside to escape, immediately calling 911 to avoid further conflict, his ex-wife got into her car and tried to hit him twice with her car, which was recorded on the 911 call, and witnessed by Shuey’s son. Tony Fetters, the officer in charge of overseeing the incident, has mishandled it by not following proper procedures, falsifying police reports, and omitting evidence about the home invasion. However, Police Chief Smith is only making matters worse for Shuey because he is not keeping him informed about his problems either. Shuey states that information has been blocked to him about this situation between October of 2013 and January of 2014. He suspects that it has been due to the police department’s hope that he will give up to receive fair treatment and forget the mishandling of the incident. Interestingly, Shuey does not feel that this is a personal attack against him because he has witnessed Officer Fetters act harshly to others, with his assistants present. Nevertheless, Shuey states that he would like a Supervisor present anytime Officer Fetters interviews him in the future, even
On August 14, 2015 I went on a ride along with IMPD officer Chris Cooper. Officer Cooper works in the north district of Indianapolis. His beat is N-9 which runs between the state fairground and the children’s museum. This area has a high drug rate and well as a high rate of illegal firearms. The days started out when we checked into the station around 12:45, the shift did not actually start until 1:30. Once we got into the office I was allowed to sit in for the roll call meeting that they had every day before their shift. It was pretty quick and to the point no one had any questions so we went out and hit the road soon after.
Although there have been arising situations that resulted in disorderly conduct from the officers, the abuse of higher authority for lost control of the classroom is a teacher’s fault. Never should physical repercussions take place, no matter how intense the defiance of the younger generation has become. It is becoming common knowledge and recurring stories about police brutality that it has almost become a social norm. The children growing up in this time are being taught to be afraid of the police and to run away from them, not call upon them in times of need. However, these younger children do need to realize that the world does not revolve around them and they cannot disrespect authority. With that being said, the SRO’s should continue their service within the school systems under the mandated requirement of successfully completing the proper training for any incident that is to arise in a school system. In addition, they should know how to defuse any situation and properly identify when and when not to take further physical, repercussions.

Sanchez about cuff 13, I had started to tell him that “the last person on the sign out sheet was him and that if he could keep his eyes out for it” I was interrupted by him saying “ we all ready looked for it trough the whole jail it’s not here” I then told him “ I don’t care I’m just trying to let you know” then E. I am just trying to tell you. . “. Durning the time I was talking he kept trying to talk over me so
On November 11th, 2009 @ 0200, dispatch sent Officer Cuffs (“Cuffs”) and I to 100 yards south of the intersection of Party Avenue and Work Road. I saw Steve Upsy (“Upsy”) riding a lift down the road with a case of beer between his legs. I heard Cuffs tell Upsy to get down from the lift and he refused. Cuffs attempted to get Upsy down from the lift; he was arrested for not compiling with commands.
You want the truth? To know what were my alternatives, Sheriff? You tell me. I mean how many times, have you officers been out there? A dozen, maybe? It’s always the same and always would have been! You take him away, his breath reeking of Jack Daniel’s Tennessee Whiskey, and he spends one nite, sleeping
Two young boys- Darian Johnson and Michael Brown were on their way home from stealing Cigarillos from their local market. they were illegally jaywalking when this police officer, Officer Darren Wilson passed by in his patrol car. “Get the f--- on the sidewalk” The two boys stayed mute, when suddenly the unknown police officer at the time backed up his car. As the car came to a brisk stop, he opened it suddenly and quickly. The door bounced back and closed. The young officer continued to stay in the car but used his hands to his advantage and began wrapping his hands around Brown’s neck. Darian Johnson described it as a ‘tug of war” Brown tried his best to escape, not once did his hands entered the car of Darren Wilson. Wilson fired his gun
I was at the madison county equestrian club, pulling into the driveway. We sat under a shade tree where are trailer was. We started writing me down for the classes. Then I went and saddled my horse to get ready to start the show. I was walking around in the makeup arena when I thought i should quinter in barrels. Barrels was the best thing I was good at so I thought I would do quinter in that, but it was also the one of the last class.
Planning to write a Spanish essay because you think is easier? Spanish and English are two of the most spoken languages in the world, which have differences and similarities in writing. Despite that both languages use the same alphabet, Spanish has more difficult writing mechanics such as punctuation rule, noun’s gender and quantity, and verb conjugation that make writing an essay more laborious.
The main law I was concerned with while creating the site was the copyright, Designs and Patents Act. To ensure the site was in line with this act with regards to images I created the Background of the logo myself using GIMP2 I then converted the background of a Lion rampant to Alpha so I could place this image on top of the background image. I am also covered by the creative commons to take and change an image found on the web. Since there was work completed on the image the final logo can be claimed as my own intellectual property.
