A Responsible Person
Jack Canfield in his book “How to Get from Where You Are to Where You Want to Be” talks about principles that teach people how to be successful in their life. In principle one Canfield teaches people that responsibility is what takes a person to the next level. First, people should be responsible for their own actions and decisions. In other words, if a person wants to be successful, he/she must take 100% responsibility. Second, a lot of people don’t take responsibility of what they do. Instead, they blame others for the things that happen to them. Those people who put the blame on others must start taking responsibility. Furthermore, they should know that the past is in the past and they must think about the present. I have a personal story that is related to the quote “You must take personal responsibility. You cannot change the circumstances, the seasons, or the wind, but you can change yourself” By Jim Rohn.
The story that I will narrate which is related to the quote proves that it is important to be responsible about my actions. My story that happened last year made me aware and responsible for my actions. In my last year at high school, I knew what I wanted to be when I graduate and my answer was a doctor. I worked hard to get the grades that I want. I even dedicated all my life and time to work on my schoolwork. As days passed by, I was getting good grades, but my grades weren’t high enough.
